10/03 Update 2nd Round Added

Zion Williamson- Super Star
RJ Barrett-
Ja Morant
Cameron Reddish
Jarret Culver
Bol Bol- If he wasn't injured probably slot him 4th but could potentially have ongoing injury issues which is a concern.
Deandre Hunter
Darius Garland
Romeo Langford- I have faith that 3 point shot will come around.
Sekou Doumbouya-
Rui Hachimura
Jaxon Hayes
Nassir Little- Dude just reminds me of Stanley Johnson, but I have hope
KZ Okpala-

Keldon Johnson- Hasn't been playing as well lately plus other guys from Kentucky stepping up.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker
Jontay Porter- If it wasn't for the injury could of been top 10
Brandon Clarke- Starting to buy into hype a bit more even though he is undersized.
Coby White
Goga Bitadze
Kevin Porter JR- Still like the skills but yeah not showing them on a constant basis
Bruno Fernando-
Tyler Herro- Added to first round mans been on fire the last few weeks if you take out the start of the season his shooting splits are nuts, not just a shooter as well.
Talen Horton-Tucker
Charles Bassey-
Tre Jones
Jalen Macdaniels
Grant Williams
Neemias Queta- Doubt he declares to be honest, I've only seen one or 2 mock drafts where hes appeared as an early 2nd rounder. I seriously believes he's a lottery level talent.

2nd Round-Picks 30-40 on the cusp of first round
Ashton Hagens- Still really like Ashton as a player, I think he will carve out a long career in the NBA as a back up just doesn't have huge upside.
Daniel Gafford- Still like Gaffords upside, just other Centres in the first round with similar skills that I prefer.
PJ Washington. Been on fire as of late, could potentially move to first round depending on what happens in March
Luka Samanic,
Luguentz Dort,
Deividas Sirvydis- Still might go first still only 18 but after watching some highlights again, I'm not really sure what I was excited about, decent shooter and passer but tends to heavily favour attacking from the left,
Sagaba Konate, Had him as a fringe first round Prospect for last years draft as well, can shoot and block shots, good wingspan but a little bit undersized.
Matisse Thybulle
Admiral Schofield,
Ty Jerome-
Darius Bazley - Feel like hes become a bit forgotten about as a prospect, could still very be a first round talent .
Ignas Brazdeikis,
Jalen Lecque- High school player who will potentially declare for the draft, could potentially easily be a first round pick, from the highlights he looks very athletic. When the OKC GM (Sam Presti's) scouting your games, that is normally a good sign
Chuma Okeke
Eric Paschall,
Naz Reid,
Udoka Azubuike- Highly doubt he declares, out for the season. Still young for his year, plus apparently education is important to him.
Brian Bowen,
Shamorie Ponds,
Carsen Edwards,
Caleb Martin,
Dedric Lawson,
Abdoulaye N'Doye,
Bennie Boatwright
Aric Holman,
Simi Shittu,
Killian Tillie,
Jaylen Hoard,
Ethan Happ,
Zach Norvell Jr.
William McDowell-White,

Still not a big fan of this draft class but it is growing on me a bit, however I still believe if you don't land a top 3 pick and your not prepared to take a gamble on Garland or Bol Bol, you'd be better of trading back to finding better value or for a player/prospect who is ready to contribute and grow with the team.

I look at guys like Culver and Reddish who I have 4th and 5th and if they were drafted last year I think maybe... you'd draft them somewhere 9-12. Same as the 2017 draft if i'm just comparing them as prospects no way would they be picked above the 9th spot

More guys on the fringe of the 2nd round

Charles Matthews
Jordan poole
Yovel Zoosman
Louis King- Would have a better shot staying, could potentially go 1st round next year.
Cameron Johnson- Shooters shoot, if he stays hot wouldn't be shocked if he went late first solely as a role player will probably be in my next draft somewhere.
Tyrese Haliburton- Thought he might stay, but looks pretty interesting in a lackluster draft, should definitely test the waters.
Alen Smailagic- Warriors have an eye on him, currently playing for their g-league team wouldn't be surprised if they used a 2nd on him then he went on a 2 way contract
Tacko Fall- Earlier in his College career I thought he may develop into a first round talent however basketballs changed where players like Tacko are becoming obsolete, perhaps he could be used in a Boban like role.
Markus Howard
Joshua Obiesie- Not many international prospects in the draft plus he's also only 18
Fletcher Magee- Soley as a shooter
Ochai Agbaji- Think he should wait till next year where he could go middle of the first round, Athletic 3 and D player
Mfiondu Kabengele

Probably more that will come to mind, but these are the others that intrigue me at the moment, probably some unknowns which will get an inflated stock come end of March madness

Post March Madness Mock Draft/Big Board

Probably going to be a lot more changes after work outs when some prospects will stand out and others will decide to return to school.

How the NBA is changing , 3 PF prospects (4 if Hachimura is considered a PF) who are 6-7 - 6-8 will potentially going in the first round picks.

I still don't love this draft as far as upside apart from the first 3 picks but I think there are a lot of potential role/rotational players later in the first round and in the 2nd round.

Zion Williamson- Super Star
RJ Barrett-
Ja Morant
Darius Garland- If the Bulls are picking at 4, he's there best bet probably only one of 5 players in the draft with all star upside along side thefirst 3 picks and Bol Bol
Jarret Culver
Bol Bol
Deandre Hunter
Cameron Reddish
Rui Hachimura
Romeo Langford- Played the whole season with a torn ligament in his hand, so maybe we only saw him at 80%?
Coby White
Sekou Doumbouya-
Jaxon Hayes
Nassir Little-

Cameron Johnston- Big Jump, man can shoot.
KZ Okpala-
Goga Bitadze
Keldon Johnson- Hasn't been playing as well lately plus other guys from Kentucky stepping up.
Bruno Fernando-
PJ Washington.
Brandon Clarke-
Nickeil Alexander-Walker
Kevin Porter JR-
Tyler Herro-
Talen Horton-Tucker
Grant Williams
Neemias Queta- If I was feeling ballsy, I would slot him in at 10 but I'm not sure what i'm missing? Athletic yet raw potential defensive anchor with developing passing and shooting skills. I think he should stay where he can be drafted lottery next year
Louis King
Carsen Edwards-
Mfiondu Kabengele

2nd Round-Picks
Ty Jerome-
Jalen Macdaniels
Jontay Porter-2nd ACL tear, OUCH!
Charles Bassey-
Daniel Gafford-
Luka Samanic,
Luguentz Dort,
Deividas Sirvydis
Sagaba Konate,
Matisse Thybulle
Admiral Schofield,
Darius Bazley -
Ignas Brazdeikis,
Chuma Okeke- Possibly would of gone first round if it was not for the ACL tear
Eric Paschall,
Naz Reid- If it wasn't for the issues at LSU should stay, teams in the past have regretted drafting prospects of a hot March.
Brian Bowen,
Shamorie Ponds,
Dedric Lawson-
Abdoulaye N'Doye,
Jordan Poole
Aric Holman,
Joshua Obiesie
Jaylen Hoard,
Yovel Zoosman
Jalen Lecque-
Cassius Winston- I've been burned in the past by great college point guards who don't have size or aren't jump out the gym athletes but could be a good bench player.
Simi Shittu- Has Declared, should stay though
Alen Smailagic- Drafted solely by the Warriors to continue developing him.
Zach Norvell Jr.

On the cusp
Quentin Grimes really not sure why decided to declare?
Udoka Azubuike-Have recently red that he now plans on entering draft.
Bennie Boatwright
Ethan Happ- No real NBA skills but I still think he could play a few seasons in the NBA and be useful
Killian Tillie- Too little to late to return from injury
Charles Matthews could catch on with a 2 way contract.
William McDowell-White- Better younger international prospects.
Tacko Fall- He shouldn't be drafted but imagine he probably will be, purely for ticket sales or see if you can make it work.
Fletcher Magee
Markus Howard

Confirmed staying
Tre Jones- Probably would of gone around late first round
Ashton Hagans- Early second round as with Tre not sure if they can increase there stock as prospects much more with another year around.
Ochai Agbaji- Good choice could go late lottery next year, very athletic with good D
Tyrese Haliburton- Another wise decision, will have a more featured role next year.

So the draft lottery, well done Pelicans! So this time around it will be a full Mock draft taking into account team needs rather then a loose Big Board. Not to many changes as far as actual players in the first round but where they will be picked has changed a lot!

Think this draft maybe similar to 2013 where you'll actually get better value later in the draft but compared to previous drafts, picks 4-14 really provide poor value considering the prospects available.

2nd Round will be the same except Mfiondu Kabengele has dropped and Ty Jerome and taken his spot, may redo the 2nd round as after the combine.

1. Pelicans- Zion Williamson. No surprises here, out and out stud. A once in a generation player, who arguably not only has the highest ceiling yet also the highest floor. According to reports Davis still wants out, but would be interesting if they could convince him to stay.
2. Grizzlies- RJ Barrett. Now this was a little trickier, I really have Barett and Morant as 2a and 2b. If Grizzlies are able to guarantee a great trade package for Conley take Morant, however I think Conleys would be a great mentor for Jackson jr and Barrett. Some question Barretts inefficiency, which is a fair call, however watching him play, it seems its more, at times poor shot selection rather then overall bad shooting, something that can be remedied. Things like his Alpha mentality and his ball handling and passing skills go underrated.
3. Knicks- Jah Morant. Easy call here, I still think Smith JR and Ntilkinita can be useful NBA players but I believe Morants upside can be Westbrook lite. I think his 3 point shot will come around, a good free throw shooter, his shot looks money and often in college he was constantly doubled teamed on the 3 point line.
4. Lakers- Jarrett Culver. Big drop of in talent here, I prefer Bol Bol and Garland as players but I think Lebron and the Lakers will want someone ready to contribute right away. Hopefully towards the end of his rookie year Culver's able to own that 2 spot playing great defense with a respectable 3 point shot. I was considering Deandre Hunter here, but prefers Culvers upside a little bit more. Not
5. Cavaliers- Bol Bol. The foot injury is a concern but the upside is too high to ignore plus the Cavaliers should be in no rush to contend. With Sexton looking like a long time starter for the Cavs, no need for Garland.
6. Suns- Darius Garland. Thank god the Suns get a point guard, easy pick here. Garland has supreme dribbling skills and his 3 is money.
7. Bulls- Coby White. While you could argue that Coby White is more of a scoring combo guard then a true point. With Lavine, Porter, Markkanen and Carter JR, Point is the only position of need for this young core. I don't actually hate Dunn as a player, I actually hope the Bulls keep him as first guard of the bench, good defensive player,
8. Hawks- Jaxon Hayes. Feels a little bit early for him pretty raw, but It is a position of need and I think the Wizards would snatch him up with the next pick.Hopefully a good lob target for Young. Best case Jarret Allen type impact, worst case a worse Willie Cauley- Stein.
9. Wizards- Deandre Hunter. Seems low for Hunter, I do like him as a player, think he could be a Trevor Ariza type player e.g important stater on a play off team. If Bol Bol has serious injury concerns the Cavs should take hunter then.
10. Hawks- Sekou Doumbouya. Don't see the upside others do, but I think he could slot in at 3 hopefully becoming a similar player to Al-farouq Aminu. With Young, Huerter and Collins as long term starters, I think Sekous a good spot for a gamble, Prince can warm his spot until he is ready.
11. Timberwolves- Cam Reddish. Not a big fan of a Cam, his shooting was poor while at Duke, Williamson and Barrett gave him alot of space as well. However has good size for the 2 spot and hopefully will be able to space the floor decently.
12. Hornets- Rui Hachimura. I think Rui definitely projects as a 4 in the NBA, which the Hornets could use some help at. Good at abit of everything not great in one particular area. All though his game has developed in leaps and bounds over the last 3 years, hopefully he keeps getting better. Could look at Goga as well.
13. Heat- Nassir Little. Had a fairly disappointing year although showed some great defensive prowess and physicality. Heat are kind of in no mans land, not much salary space, no real trade assets but not bad enough to get a low draft spot. Little has solid upside, worst case he can plug in and play good defense of the bench.
14. Celtics- Goga Bitadze. Horford is getting older, or alternatively could be a good trade aspect. All though you could argue his game is abit old school. He can shoot the ball and you can't discount production put up some good numbers for a 19 year old in the euroleague.

15. Pistons- Romeo Langford. Apparently was playing with an injury the whole year hopefully this means his shooting will come around, while the Pistons definitely need shooting, they have to go with Langfords upside here.
16. Magic- Nickeil Alexander-Walker. One of the better players available plus a major position of need. Not sure if he'll be the long time answer at Point guard but if hes anything like his cousin Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was in his rookie season, would be major coup for the Magic.
17. Nets- Kevin Porter JR. All though there are some character concerns and overall production was poor, he still has a high ceiling plus did make a few plays last year which were impressive. Sean marks tends to take risks in the draft, however wouldn't be shocked if Porter fell early 2nd round as well..
18. Pacers- Cameron Johnston. Great shooter, good role player to slot among-st the roster, Pacers still did very well after Oladipos injury. Johnstons an older prospect who hopefully should be able to contribute right away.
19. Spurs- KZ Okpala. Okpalas the kind of athletic rangy defensive minded prospects, spurs tend to draft and develop very well.
20. Celtics- Tyler Herro. Celtics take one of the best shooters in the class who hopefully will be able to contribute of the bench.
21. Thunder- Keldon Johnson. Thunder need more shooting, they would probably love to get Herro a pick earlier, however settle for his team mate who actually probably offers a more all round game while still being an all right 3 point shooter,
22. Celtics - Brandon Clarke. Unfortunately his age and size limit his upside otherwise would be a lottery lock. With no real positional needs, Clarke can come of the bench and be a defensive menace for the Celtics.
23. Jazz- PJ Washington. The Jazz could really use a bit of pace and shooting from the 4 spot. For those who argue Favors isn't the best fit next to Goubert, Washington could be a good replacement.
24. 76rs- Talen Horton-Tucker. Really dependent on what happens with Butler and Harris , if they do stay, hopefully Talen develops into a nice complimentary role player of the bench.
25. Trailblazers- Grant Williams. Blazers could use some help at the 4 spot, Williams lacks size but hopefully his overall game translates,
26. Cavaliers - Bruno Fernando. Cavs go best player available here. Provides the physicality, Bol Bol doesnt, Bol Bol could also shift to the 4 spot to play alongside him.
27.Nets- Louis King. I think if Louis wasn't injured for the first half of the season may of gone higher. Has good size, Nets follow the same route and draft for upside.
28. Warriors- Carsen Edwards. Warriors get a little bit more shooting and scoring of the bench.
29. Spurs- Neemias Queta. I personally rate Neemias as lottery level talent, I just don't think anyone else see's it. All though raw, showed alot of potential and skill.Very Spursy type pick as well.
30. Bucks- Ty Jerome. Probably other players in the 2nd round, who I prefer but I think the bucks just need to keep surrounding Giannis with guys who can shoot the 3 well and play defense, its working well so far.

Brooklyn Nets- Mfiondu Kabengele, take a big man who can probably stretch the floor well enough to spend time at 4 as well.
Phoenix Suns- Luka Samanic, I was toying with the Suns taking another point guard as insurance but Samanic was impressive in the combine and they could use some depth at the four.
Philadelphia 76rs- Matisse Thybulle, really low considering apparently hes received a promise in the early 20s just prefer other prospects. Could make a good long term defensive role player.
Philadelphia 76rs- Daniel Gafford, need depth at the C position. Prefer Basseys upside, however 76rs need more proven commodities
Atlanta Hawks- Jontay Porter, would had some where late first if it wasn't for the 2nd ACL tear, the Hawks don't need Porter to contribute straight away, so can take a risk here.
Charlotte Hornets- Luguentz Dort, take for depth but also worst case scenario in case Kemba leaves.
New Orleans Pelicans- Nic Claxton, abit late to the party here think he should stay, could be a late lottery pick next year , wouldnt be surprised if he goes end of first due to potential alone
Chicago Bulls- Dylan Windler I think Bulls are nearly ready to compete in the east, take one of the best shooters in the draft.
Dallas Mavericks - Jordan Nwora need to add more depth at the 3 and 2 spot apparently 50/50 on staying on the draft though.
Sacramento Kings - Brian Bowen, Kings some depth at the 3 spot, take a risk .
Atlanta Hawks - Chuma Okeke, go best player available, would of gone first round if it wasn't for the ACL
Minnesota Timberwolves- Charles Bassey, Timberwolves go go for upside here.
Philadelphia 76rs- Arturs Zagars Draft and stash
Detroit Pistons- Jordan Poole, more shooting .
Orlando Magic- Ignas Brazdeikis, Iggy has the kind of game which hopefully means he should be able to contribute sooner rather then later. Probably more of a 4 then a 3 which Magic has an abundance of. But has a decent 3 as well.
Sacramento Kings- Zach Norvell Jr. another shooter
LA Clippers- Naz Reid best player available
San Antoni Spurs- Deividas Sirvydis draft and stash
Indiana Pacers- Jaylen Hoard pick for some upside
Boston Celtics- Yovel Zoosman Draft and stash, expect some draft night trades from 76rs.
Charlotte Bobcats- Darius Bazley take a risk
Utah Jazz - Jalen Lecque, not a huge fan to be honest was a 4 star college recruit his high school counting stats were poor and he can't shoot. However is fast and athletic, could use depth at point guard as well.
Philadephia 76rs- Joshua Obiesie doubt they'll bring in so many 2nd round picks so may as well draft and stash
New York Knicks- Darius Bazley, take a risk .
LA Clippers-Sagaba Konate, can shoot 3s block shots , size maybe a hindrance
New Orleans Pelicans- Eric Paschall, can do abit of everything
Golden State Warriors- Alen Smailagic- Drafted solely by the Warriors to continue developing him. Don't rate him as a prospect.
Toronto Raptors- Jalen Macdaniels chuck him in the g league, Raptors have had luck in the past.
Sacramento Kings- Tacko Fall, take a risk highly doubt he translates. They could use some depth at center position, plus not as lumber some as I thought.

On the Cusp- Admiral Schofield, Shamorie Ponds, Dedric Lawson (athletic testing probably hurt his stock), Aric Holman, Simi Shittu- (should of stayed) William McDowell-White, Bennie Boatwright, Charles Matthews, Markus Howard, Fletcher Magee, Quentin Grimes (could easilly imagine someone taking a gamble on his upside) Ethan Happ, Killian Tillie(could of gone late first if he wasn't injured the whole year) Abdoulaye N'Doye, Kris Wilkes, Jaylen hands(Should stay), Moses Brown (deffinitly should stay could also be drafted early 2nd is intriguing but could potentially be a first round pick next year) Tyus Battle, O'shae Brissett, Kenny Wooten, Isiah Roby, Kyle Guy,

Cavs are not likely to pick 2 bigs at all. I'm not sold they are higher on Bol than SEKOU OR GOGA either if they go front court early...but I think White or KPorter are more likely the pick at 5. Okeke or Claxton targets at 26

Cavs are not likely to pick 2 bigs at all. I'm not sold they are higher on Bol than SEKOU OR GOGA either if they go front court early...but I think White or KPorter are more likely the pick at 5. Okeke or Claxton targets at 26

I'm not sure how a White/Sexton Back court would work as both are more combo guards, would prefer pairing him next to Garland who masks some of his floors however both are 6'1 which is another conundrum.

I think the risk involved of KPJ is to high to take at the 5 spot to be honest. Claxton I could I imagine, I like the potential there but Okeke was only really seen as a first round pick after his hot March run. Seen to many picks wasted based on a player having a strong run in March. Would of still considered him a first round pick however the torn ACl, puts things abit up in the air.

Gogo I really like considering actually placing him a little higher, Sekou is overrated in my opinion, his impact will be closer to Mario Herzonja rather then some of the absurd Giannis comparisons I've seen, really thinks his upside his high level role player.

Watching Bol Bol on offence, his thin frame shouldn't be an issue, he's a finesse player who showed some Durant like moves from the Mid Range. Yeah his defense won't translate as well but will still be able to block shots as a weak side defender. While he might get boxed of rebounds his height and massive wingspan should mean he does allright in that regard. The only major risk there is, injury concern for me to be honest.

White has to be a target at 5 if for no other reason than to draw trade up interest from PHO and CHI to gain another asset from them esp if Garland goes 4th. I do think CLE like his mentality, work ethic and versatility which would probably be seen as an asset next to Sexton not a detriment.
Others are a wash really and it's not that complicated. there are pros and cons to all these prospects, but Kevin Porter for example has the fight/athleticism and high rep developed iso moves to become a dominant offensive player at the next level if he can get his priorities in order.

Yeah, true good point kind of like when 76's drafted Payton and fleeced Saric and a future first from the Magic lol didn't think of that, especially when they are both so desperate for a point guard. KPJ easily has one of the highest ceilings of this draft, just depends on how teams view him after working one and on with him, interviews well e.t.c

LSandersBong wrote:Brooklyn Nets- Mfiondu Kabengele, take a big man who can probably stretch the floor well enough to spend time at 4 as well.

If the Kings take a risk, I think it will be with Roby or Bazley.

Yeah Roby could be a good call but I allways imagined him more as a 4 then a 3, I think the Kings have an abundance of depth at the 4 spot. Bowen doesnt have great upside but could play some defence shoot some 3s.

1. Pelicans- Zion Williamson. No surprises here, out and out stud. A once in a generation player, who arguably not only has the highest ceiling yet also the highest floor. According to reports Davis still wants out, but would be interesting if they could convince him to stay.
2. Grizzlies- Jah Morant, Grizzlies got there trade package for Conley, so take Morant here, will be fun to watch him put up big teams on a rebuilding squad.
3. Knicks- RJ Barrett- Will do well in New York, Hopefully he devealops into a well rounded player, rather then someone who will put up big points and empty stats. Hopefully his court vision
4. Pelicans- Darius Garland- Now that Pelicans have the pick they go for upside. Jrue does his best as a 2 guard and not a believer in Payton
5. Cavaliers- Bol Bol. The foot injury is a concern but the upside is too high to ignore plus the Cavaliers should be in no rush to contend. To be honest I think its much more likely Bol goes mid-late first round but I think many teams will regret it.
6. Suns- Coby White. Prefer a few other prospects but need to go for position rather then BPA
7. Bulls-Jarrett Culver Another team desperate for a starting point guard have to go for BPA

Personally think herro is getting incredibly overrated coming into this draft, If you expect more then an important bench player able to create some offence and shoot some 3s prepared to be disappointing.

24. 76rs- Bruno Fernando 76rs take there reserve centre here abit one dimensional however should be a solid player.
25. Trailblazers-. PJ Washington. Blazers could use some help at the 4 spot, W
26. Cavaliers -Matisse Thybulle take a defensive minded pick to take here,
27.Nets- Louis King. I think if Louis wasn't injured for the first half of the season may of gone higher. Has good size, Nets follow the same route and draft for upside.

31 Brooklyn Nets- Mfiondu Kabengele, take a big man who can probably stretch the floor well enough to spend time at 4 as well.

38 Chicago Bulls- Dylan Windler I think Bulls are nearly ready to compete in the east, take one of the best shooters in the draft.
39 New Orleans - Moses Brown go for upside.
40 Sacramento Kings - Brian Bowen, Kings some depth at the 3 spot, take a risk .
41 Atlanta Hawks - Chuma Okeke, go best player available, would of gone first round if it wasn't for the ACL
42 Minnesota Timberwolves- Isaiah Roby
43 Philadelphia 76rs- Adam Mokoka
44 Miami Heat- Traded Fron Hawks- Terrence Davis.
44 Detroit Pistons- Jordan Poole, more shooting .
45 Orlando Magic- Ignas Brazdeikis, Iggy has the kind of game which hopefully means he should be able to contribute sooner rather then later. Probably more of a 4 then a 3 which Magic has an abundance of. But has a decent 3 as well.
