How the lottery SHOULD go

Post#1 » by ISB » Tue Jun 24, 2008 9:14 pm

What I would do, not what will happen.

1. Chicago - Michael Beasley - BPA who fills a need. dunno why they want Rose instead.
2. Miami - OJ Mayo - I think Rose is the better prospect, but I don't like the Rose/Wade back court combo.
3. Minnesota - Derrick Rose - Foye can play SG and isn't that great anyway. obviously BPA
4. Seattle - Jerryd Bayless - Scoring PG who will fit well next to Durant/Green.
5. Memphis - Kevin Love - Lopez could work too, but I like Love more.
6. New York - DJ Augustin - perfect PG for Mike D's system.
7. LAC - Eric Gordon - more ready to play than Westbrook. Can trade Maggette or Thornton for a PG and have a good team.
8. Milwuakee - Russel Westbrook - can sub in for the worst defensive backcourt in the league (Williams/Redd)
9. Charlotte- Brook Lopez - they need another big man. I don't think Okafor needs to be moved to PF, but lopez is best available.
10. New Jersey - Galinari - weird team because their needs depend largely on whatever trades they make
11. Indiana -Alexis Ajinca - young upside player to give them a spark of life. PGs already off the board
12. Sacramento - Maurice Speights - honestly I haven't seen him play so n/c.
13. Portland - Joe Alexander - I think Alexander's a bit overrated by many, but they need a PG or SF so Joe is obvious here.
14. Golden State - Brandon Rush - nice wing off the bench who brings a little of everything, slight reach in my opinion but if you believe in BWright they don't have many clear cut needs.

I pretty much disagree with every pick. I surely disagree with Beasley being BPA at #1 and I think there is not a single respectable talent evaluator that would take Mayo over Rose.

TWolves fan, I assume?
I despise fans that cheer on a team from up north or one that resembles a dinosaur. oh wait...

I disagree with half the mock draft.

I agree with 1, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13. Every other pick i disagree with.

I think many of us would prefer Beasley. Most are content with Mayo. there isn't a whole lot of talk about Rose.
