If the Bobcats are drafting, Griffin is gone and Monroe is on the board, that is the direction we would go in.

Monroe is pretty raw. I doubt Larry Brown plans on waiting 2 or 3 years to fill that titanic hole at PF. Perhaps you could draft the more NBA ready Thabeet and move Okafor to PF where he has always belonged.

Monroe is pretty raw. I doubt Larry Brown plans on waiting 2 or 3 years to fill that titanic hole at PF. Perhaps you could draft the more NBA ready Thabeet and move Okafor to PF where he has always belonged.

No more raw that 95% of other guys drafted into the league - and Okafor is much more suited to the 5 spot than the 4.

Thabeet and Okafor on the floor together would be a disaster.

And why for the King's you find him the best fit over Holiday, Evans, Mills, Curry (not questioning the pick, but just trying to learn about those players)

Jennings is a true pass first PG who is lighting quick. He is the kind of guy who makes his teammates better. He is a perfect fit for that young Sacramento team who needs a table setter desperately. Holliday and Evans are combo guards and thus, not nearly as solid of a fit in Sacto. Curry and Mills are nice players, but both are inferior prospects to Jennings. Curry is a more proven scorer, but that really is not what Sacto needs.

I'd take Jrue Holiday over Damion James for the Raps, even if he is a touch undersized at SG. He's a much better pick for us, IMO, for the following reasons:
1) He's a SG, and we need a SG far more than we need a SF. Anthony Parker is literally the only SG on the team!
2) The two main things this team is lacking are perimiter d and slashing. Despite his size Holiday a very good defender and a very good slasher
3) He just seems like a much more talented player than James in general

Good list overall though. This draft looks really, really weak to me.

As of now, if Rubio doesn't declare, do you see Jennings as a player that could sneak into the top 3 simply because he will likely be the best pg in the draft? Or is he simply not good enough to move up that much. (Most other mock's I've seen rank Jennings roughly the same as you do, and I agree and think Jennings would be an ideal fit for the Kings)

I think his decision to play overseas and his small stature will hurt his chances at being in the top 3. Especially considering all the talented bigs at the top. It is possible, but he is more likely a 5-10 range guy. He is good enough, but will he be visible enough and will his height and slightness scare people off? Not sure yet. If Rubio does not declare I would guess Griffin, Thabeet, and Harden is possibly the first 3 off the board.

Btw, ESPN radio was blasting Jennings yesterday - pretty much saying he's killed his high draft choice status by going to Europe where they say he's doing terribly as a 4th guard on his team. Please tell me if my impression is wrong - that the folks at ESPN radio know nothing about the reality of the situation - that it's typical for even the most talented newcomers in Europe to not get much PT early in their first season, that he's probably not doing bad at all for the minutes he's played, and he probably has not seriously damaged his high draft pick status as of now.

I like Aldrich, I just don't think he will declare. I will add him later if he looks more likely to declare.

Jennings has not hurt his status. He has been hit or miss overseas so far, but that would happen to any 18 year old playing point guard in a pro league vastly superior to the college level. Jennings will be fine, and if his play has cost him his high pick, then I guess Mullens and Derozen have done the same, because Jennings has played better than both.

Seems fairly solid. Just a couple of Q's

1.Haven't seen much, but is Jennings' lack of success a hinderance atm, or it an adjustment period, i mean i love what he did in High school.

2. Any particular reason as to why Aminu drops off a bit. Granted i've only seen a couple of games, yet he has looked like a solid guy with some potential still yet shown.

3. Any real chance of Monroe declaring? Btw i love that Indy nabs him at that spot

4. Tyreke Evans. I'm still really confused on this guy. His numbers look great this far (haven't seen him play this season thus far) However, is he still the ball-hog, somewhat ego maniacal guy he was in high school?

1. Jennings is not playing nearly as poorly as some make it sound. He is adjusting to a league much tougher than the NCAA's, so he will take some time. He has shown flashes and is still clearly the #2 PG in this draft.

2. Aminu has looked ok, but his falling is more to do with getting run down from behind by guys like Damion James, Earl Clark and Gani Lawal who play similar positions. A lot of combo forwards in this draft.

3. It is still very up in the air about Monroe declaring. He probably won't, but passing up on being a top 10 pick is a;ways tough. I tend to keep guys in my mock if I don't know one way or the other.

4. Evans is a very talented kid. He has all the tools to be a big time wing. He is still a work in progress, but by and large he is fitting in nicely at Memphis.
