From Utah's perspective, I would imagine and hope that they'll go with Maynor (if he is still on the board) to back up DWill rather than draft another SF, particularly one that is more gifted offensively than defensively. The Jazz have AK, Harpring and Miles at the 3, Budinger would never see the light of day.

You're team would official be midgets in the backcourt. I know I have Jennings going to them in my mock too, but they'd take Evans if he's on the board still.

Austin Daye is very high for my tastes, but he is a wild card in this draft.

Jazz go back up PG over wing, or PF that can play right away (Hansbrough? Yuck for my tastes, but I could see the Jazz doing it) Maybe even Patrick Patterson because I feel like if he slides that far the Jazz take him.

Think Summers goes before Young.

I feel like Nellie and Riley would take the better overall PG (Jennings) regardless of how he would fit with Monta...taking an inferior prospect because of fit is how you get Sam Bowie rather then Jordan. Plus, defense has never really been our thing.

Austin Daye is very high for my tastes, but he is a wild card in this draft.

I see Daye as a sleeper who surprises a lot of people by sneaking into the lottery, much like Thompson last year. He's long, athletic and has skills; those guys always shoot up draft boards even if they don't produce in college.

Jazz go back up PG over wing, or PF that can play right away (Hansbrough? Yuck for my tastes, but I could see the Jazz doing it) Maybe even Patrick Patterson because I feel like if he slides that far the Jazz take him.

The PG argument is fair, I'll change that in my next mock. I think Hansbrough and Patterson are too similar to Millsap, though if they prefer to keep Boozer those guys might look more appealing.

Think Summers goes before Young.

I really don't know a lot about these two, so sure.

Don't

Don't think that Evans is the inferior prospect, but I see the logic in taking whichever PG the team prefers.

Daye is all the things you said, but he could also have awful workouts and plummet. See eg: Douglas-Roberts, Chris.

I think they let Boozer go, keep Milsap and have Tyler or Patterson back him up if they got PF. I think they NEED a backup PG, but the fact is PG is deep this year and getting a back up at 20 could be a lottery pick in a shallower draft for guards (Holiday, Maynor, Teague).

I have high hopes for Austin Daye, but the lottery pick is way to high for him to be picked.

I don't know, he just strikes me as the type of guy who will end up a lotto pick. Call it a hunch.

Nice job. Pretty much everything here is plausible. I think Budinger will go long before #24 and I think any team that takes Hansbrough over Lawal needs their heads examined.

Also, the Magic pick belongs to Memphis.

I'd be happy with that for the Wolves.

C - Thabeet/Love
PF - Jefferson/Summers
SF - Gomes/Miller
SG - Foye/Brewer
PG - Holiday/Telfair

I'm interested in why around this board Jeff Pendergraph seems to be climbing into the first round a lot? Not that it's ridiculous or anything & I like him but I've never seen him that high anywhere before joining here.

He's got ok touch around the basket & at the FT line. But he's not that big or athletic for the NBA..he got most of his baskets off of penetration with easy dunks (explaining his ridiculous FG%). He wasn't an overly impressive rebounder either. He's got good IQ on both ends and knows his limitations, don't get me wrong I think he can play in the NBA but I dunno where he's become a 1st rounder.

It seems that Brackins will be returning to school from what I have heard. What would be in store for the Pacers otherwise?

I would guess DeJuan Blair.

I don't see why Philly would go for Curry, as they have a similar player in Williams. I also think he will go a bit higher, mayber at 10 to the Bucks. But solid job.

The Sixers' biggest weakness is outside shooting, which is one thing Curry does very, very well. Also, they could resign Miller to a 2 or 3 year deal and have him mentor Curry.

Ty Lawson for the Bucks may make sense. I was hoping we'd be able to trade down to grab a player like him, but this draft is looking weaker by the day.

He's also physically weak, mentally soft and a whiner. Not to mention he already has knee problems. Can't see him being a good NBA player, despite his excellent height, length and skill level. Maybe if he adds a tonne of weight.

I think Blair and James Johnson are a bit high and Chase is a little low. Other than that this seems like a draft that could actually happen. The Wolves get a nice set of picks in this draft. I like the Bulls selection of Daye as I think he has potential to be a steal. But I'm not sold on the Bulls taking another undersized PF like Blair. They haven't had great luck with this in years past. Although I think Blair will be a crazy rebounder on the NBA level.

I like the update, gsw (Huh, that sort of looks like the name of an STD, don't it? I won't be calling you that anymore.)

Anyway, I see you have the Warriors taking Jennings, much like a lot of other draft boards. What I'm curious about is how you, as a fellow fan of the Dubs, feels about potentially drafting Jennings? Most people tend to lean too far to the extreme either one way or the other when discussing his ability. I haven't seen much beyond a couple of high school games and when Lotto played DKV. I was marginally impressed with what I saw, and think he could possibly become something some day.

What do you think of him? More specifically, what do you think of him as a fit for the Warriors? What do you think it'll mean for Monta if we draft this kid?
