Lottery mock draft with some humour...

Post#1 » by MaryvalesFinest » Fri Apr 24, 2009 7:12 am

(Note this is a real draft but with some humour mixed in with most of them)

1-Kings-Ricky Rubio, it's hard for the Kings to pass on the #1 player but they are in desperate need of a pg and they always did their best when they had Euro's on the team like Stojakovic and Divac and they drafted exciting pg's like J-Will and Bibby before so why not combine those two like a mad science experiment and bring on Ricky Rubio!

2-Wizards-Blake Griffin, with some luck of Wizardy the Kings pass on Griffin and he goes to the Wizards, all it took was the waive of a magic wand.

3-Clippers-Jordan Hill, hey it's the Clippers, enough said!

4-Thunder-James Harden, with Griffin gone and the only other option being Thabeet the Thunder decides to cause some bolts of Thunder by selecting James Harden. He would be perfect playing alongside Durant and Jeff Green, it all depends on if they have a huge hard-on for Harden, if so let the Thunder strike!

5-TimberWolves-Earl Clark, the Timberwolves decide to explore the great white north like Louis and Clark by taking Earl Clark. Sure it may be a reach but he would be a perfect SF alongside Jefferson and the SG Miller.

6-Grizzlies-Stephen Curry, with no bigs really available the Grizzlies make a surprise pick and decide to pair some Curry with Mayo. They decide either to start him at pg alongside Mayo or bring him off the bench behind Conley. But you gotta agree Curry and Mayo does seem to go together...

7-Warriors-Brandon Jennings, an exciting player to watch that will fit the Warriors run-n-gun style, also the most likely to have a moped accident during his NBA career.

8-Knicks-Demar Derozan, the Knicks need a pg but decide to go for Derozan thinking he can become the next Kobe and try to sell tickets. Demar Derozan sounds like a cool name but can he bring the lights back to broadway?

9-Raptors-Hasheem Thabeet, with really no Euro's being around in this draft the Raps decide to take the guy born in Tunisia to contribute to their foreign born lineup. They can either but him alongside Bosh or bring him off the bench behind Bargnani but nonetheless Thabeet would be the first major fall of the draft and what better place to go for a foreign player than the Raptors?

10-Bucks-Gerald Henderson, they need a SG to replace the injured Redd who most likely wont go back to pre-injury forum but pick Henderson because he has a receding hairline and can maybe be the next Michael Redd.

11-Nets-Tyreke Evans, with Vince Carter getting up their in age they pick pick Ty evans to pair with a Harris-Evans backcourt. They also think he may be VC's secret child do to his athleticism and pick him just for that.

12-Bobcats-Wayne Ellington, a UNC Tarheel that will fit in the SG spot to replace the aging Bell. Sure it may be a bit of a stretch but hey it's Larry Brown he can do what ever he wants!

13-Pacers-James Johnson, they love versatility with their players like Danny Granger and now James Johnson. The only thing that's not is their players names, they pick Johnson to go with Ford and Jack.

14-Suns-Chase Budinger, Steve Kerr drafts his godson Chase and gets Robin Lopez a surfing buddy. Now Chase, Robin, Dragic, Amundson, etc can take surfing trips to Rocky Point on the weekends while Amundson pulls out the weed and has more he can share, just make sure J-Rich isn't driving otherwise he might get another DUI!

So everyone lives happily ever after, the end...

If the Kings get the #1 pick, they will ALWAYS pick Griffin, even if they want Rubio. Why? Because they could easily trade the pick to whoever has the #2 pick (to get Rubio) and get something extra out of it.

I would be pissed if we walked away with a 31 year old freshman G/F who cannot shoot.
