This mock draft is based on a mixture of both need based picks as well as BPA. I Chose the players for each team based on who i think that team will select, not on who I think they should take.
1. Kings - Blake Griffin
Kings take Griffin because it gives them the most options because Griffin is the most coveted player in this draft. I also think that he would make the kings an immediately better team, and would provide a dominant inside threat as the couterpart to Kevin Martins outside shot.
2. Wizards- Ricky Rubio
Wizards take Rubio by default because he is the 2nd best player in the draft. He doesn't really fit the team well but the Wizards may make changes to fit his style of play or they may trade him who knows.
3. Clippers- Tyreke Evans
Evans will be a good backcourt mate for gordon as the Clippers try to move davis and his contract this summer.
4. Thunder- Hasheem Thabeet
Center is the Thunders most pressing need and Thabeet could be a serious difference maker on the defensive end.
5. Timberwolves- James Harden
Timbewolves get extremely lucky to have harden fall into their laps. Harden will make both Love and jefferson even better by simply keeping the defenses Honest. If Harden develops into a brandon roy type player expect the timberwolves to be a better team sooner than expected.
6. Grizzlies- Jordan Hill
Grizzlies get the PF that they desperately need. Between Hill, Gasol, and Arthur the grizzles front line is looking to be at the very least solid and most likley pretty good.
7. Warriors- Demar Derozan
The Warriors love guards and Derozan has the chance to be one of the best out of this draft.
8. Knicks- Stephen Curry
Apparently they made him a promise. He will fit very well in NY's offense.
9. Raptors- Earl Clark
Clark will give the raptors a dimension of toughness that they have been lacking.
10. Bucks- Brandon Jennings
The bucks select Jennings as an insurance policy against sessions leaving. This way it also allows them to make CV their main priority.
11. Nets- Gerald Henderson
Henderson will get the opportunity to become part of the young core that is taking shape in NJ.
12. Bobcats- Terrence Williams
Bobcats go after a good SG option that will fit larry Browns style.
13. Pacers- Dejuan Blair
Dejuan Blair will make an immediate impact as part of the pacers and will likely make the game much easier for the players around him. His height prevents him from being an elite prospect but his physical play and heart will make a him a fan favorite from the start.
14. Suns- Ty Lawson
The suns get a great young PG that will allow them to transition from Nash and still maintain an uptempo game plan.
15. Pistons- James Johnson
Not really sure what to say, he'll be a good player for a rebuilding team and should become a good roleplayer in the mold of a poor mans robert horry.
16. Bulls- BJ Mullens
The Bulls take a chance because they already have most of their holes covered. If mullens is willing to work miller could really help him develop into a decent NBA player.
17. 76ers- Jonny Flynn
The 76ers will need a PG replacement if they don't resign Miller and Flynn has the ability to be a great all around PG. His shooting will greatly help the 76ers
18. Timberwolves- Austin Daye
Daye will be a good finisher and weakside shotblocker. Like a really poormans josh smith.
19. Hawks- Eric Maynor
Hawks are still in search of the PG of the future and Maynor is likely the most ready to contribute to a playoff team.
20. Jazz- Gani Lawal
The jazz pickup an insurance policy against losing one of boozer or milsap.
21. Hornets- Chase Budinger
Budinger will be in a great situation to learn from G/F's similar to himself, Chris paul will also make the game extremely easy for budinger.
22. Mavericks- Jeff Teague
The mavericks will need a PG to replace kidd weather he leaves in Free Agency or simply as Kidd's backup.
23. Kings- Jrue Holiday
Holiday would a great pickup for the kings because he looks to have tons of potential as a defensive PG and the kings will deffinately need a PG after passing on Rubio and Taking Griffin.
24. Trailblazers- Darren Collison
Collison would make a great compliment to Roy and could learn alot from Blake.
25. Thunder- Wayne Ellington
Thunder could still use another SG as a backup to seflosha
26. Bulls- Sam Young
Young could find himself learning from several good G/F on the bulls team and hopefully make himself into a defensive stopper.
27. Grizzlies- Marcus Thornton
Grizzlies filled their hole at PF with their 1st pick and use this one to fill the backup guard position
28. Timberwolves- Patty Mills
Mills would be a good compliment to Telfaire
29. Lakers- Nick Calathes
Fisher is getting OLD, Farmar isn't always in jackson favor, so lakers pick up a PG that could find his way into the rotation in a year or two
30. Cavaliers- Tyler Hansbrough
Hansbrough would be a decent pickup for the cavs giving them a work horse type player to put into the game to take advantage of other teams second units.
