Drop Nelson pick up TJ Ford?

Post#1 » by GrapeApe » Wed Feb 6, 2008 10:18 pm

12 team h2h standard scoring.

My team:

PG Jameer Nelson
SG Mike Dunleavy
G Josh Smith
SF Josh Childress
PF Dirk Nowitzki
F Peja Stojakovic
C Sean Williams
C Brad Miller
Util Ray Allen
Util Manu Ginobili
BN Daniel Gibson
BN Mike Miller
BN Andrea Bargnani

If he is healthy TJ is the better player. How long until he is healthy? He just played his first game, is it time to pick him up?

Do you have a lead in the standings? If so I think you could gamble on Ford, I just dropped Antonio Daniels for Ford, I'm not entirely sure if it's a good move since Daniels is consistent but Ford has plenty of upside. So basically if you pick him up now don't expect much from him for a week or two but hope he turns things around after that.

At this point Ford is more of a long-term move than a short-term move (*to put things in perspective I have a 20+ game lead over 3rd place, there's only like a 5 game difference between me and 2nd place but I'm basically assured a top 2 spot and will definitely make the playoffs, so that's why I felt I could risk dropping Daniels and adding Ford)

Nelson isn't even playing anymore. Ford is well worth the pickup.
