How's my H2H Team? Yahoo standard league

Post#1 » by HighOctane » Wed Oct 15, 2008 2:54 am

I Drafted 6-7ish, 12 man league h2h.

Team now edited after trade(it processed)

PG- Wade
SG- Hamilton, Gibson
Sf - J-Smoove, R. Jefferson
PF - West
C - Chandler, Oden, J. O'neal
Util - Haslem
Benched - Arenas, Ginobli, Ellis(will be sick once all 3 come back)

I'm going to have to play with no rotation for a few months until the 3 guards come back. Is my team good enough to survive?

As you can see, I drafted 3 injured guys who are all out for 3 months. I'm hoping if they come back my team will be sick. I drafted Oden 4th(too early?) Since I saw him dominating preseason.

How's my team? Weaknesses? Strengths? Every comment is appreciated.

Any comments for who I should trade next is valued. Typically around this time I do a lot of trades(aka Dwight Prince for J-Smith, J O'Neal)

hmm how many teams are in this league?

If it is 12 and those three guys come back you will have a good team I think.

If it is 8-10 teams I think you have some work to do.

I am sort of split on the Howard for Smith trade. It depends of course on whether J. O'neal will do anything this season but if he doesn't it's a toss up. But I think it may be worth taking the risk.

I see assists and threes as an area of weakness. I might try to trade Richard Hamilton for a guard who makes threes and dishes assists because Hamilton is a pretty big name but not much of a fantasy player in my estimation.

I'm not a pro but I hope this offers some help and I will analyze more later if you want.

12 teams, it's a standard h2h league.

I took O'Neal because his ft isnt that bad and he'll get me the blocks and rebounds that I care about losing from Howard.

Yeah, I'm trying to shop Hamilton right now, I usually try and do multi player deals, not just 1 for 1s. I don't know who to trade with Hamilton next though.

thats a very good deal for you, smith and o'neal will more than make up for the loss of Howard where blocks are concerned. You may be in for a rough ride early in the year but once manu, arenas and hopefully ellis get back in Jan you should be very solid.

Thanks. I guess once they all come back I'll be pretty darn loaded in 12 man league eh?

Gilbert
Wade
Manu
Ellis
Rip
Gibson

I might keep Gibson for 3s since he's a bargain, and continuously try and trade Rip. I'll regain 3s immediately once arenas and manu come back, and assists I'm still working on. I don't know who to drop first, Haslem's got 9 reb a game but I think Chandler, Oden, and J. Oneal will be able to handle that burden.
