BWallace vs Bargnani vs Etan Thomas

Post#1 » by tshafeez » Sun Oct 26, 2008 1:08 pm

I'm thinking Bargnani get minutes as the main offense off the bench... but then again he pretty much sucks at rebounds and my team is already tanking the 3's category.

Etan is starting with Haywood out indefinitely... Main competition is Andray Blatche. I'm sure Wizards will go small ball as much as possible lol.

Yahoo 12 team w/ standard 9 categories plus OREB & A/T

My squad in order of pick (10th/12):
Allen Iverson (PG)
Carlos Boozer (C)
Vince Carter
Antawn Jamison
Lamar Odom
Josh Howard
Richard Hamilton
Derrick Rose (PG)
Tyrus Thomas
Drew Gooden (PF) --> Expecting him to gain C eligibility soon
Shane Battier
Wilson Chandler --> Sleeper, will drop if he doesn't get burn
Etan Thomas (C) --> Was going to take Bargnani but was gone, now available

you already have boozer/jamison/odom/thomas/gooden. I think you could use another guard more than anything.

Bargnani has potential. Etan has nothing. Barg is actually playing pretty well during pre season. And all signs show that Mitch is going to play him. His low post game has also improved.

Please rate my team:

Yea but the problem is that only boozer has center eligibility and I need two centers. Gooden should get it within a month, but the problem remains.

Thus I am faced with an Etan vs Bargnani decision. I think I'll go with Bargs as the other guy mentioned because he has more potential... but he shoots poor percentages and doesnt rebound well... which is a strong suit of my team.

thomas actually rebounds--bargnani is allergic to rebounding.

He's actually improving. He was told to not take any 3 pts and work on his low post game. While he will never get you 10 rbs a game, 5-6 is very realistic.

if you have another stat that counts OREB then go with anyone not named Bargnani. He's going to be a great scorer eventually but if you need toughness in a fantasy league, pass on him.

Now that you mention it, Ben Wallace went undrafted in this league. I'm pretty sure that, despite his awesome suckitutde, he should be better than etan thomas
