NBA Fantasy Strategies

Post#1 » by disc0 » Tue Oct 28, 2008 3:51 am

First off, I'm new to Fantasy Basketball and I just joined a 10 Team 14 player league. I'm pretty confident with my Team. More on that later. I'm looking for any strategies out there.

9 Active, 5 Bench, 82 games per spot
PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, FC, C, Utility

Categories
Points Scored 0.5
Total Rebounds 1.5
Assists 2
Steals 3
Blocked Shots 3
Turnovers -2
Field Goals Made 0.54
Free Throws Made 0.25
3 Pointers Made 1
Field Goals Missed -0.46
Free Throws Missed -0.75

Because this is an 82 game per spot type of Fantasy I was debating about some strategies.

1. Load up the positions on a nightly/semi nightly basis with various players and finish my fantasy season by Jan/Feb. *** probably not a good idea as it will give others an advantage and see what categories i'm leading and then they can adjust.

2. Leave the players at their natural positions and just wait for their 82 game season to wind down. probably a better idea, but i'd remove them when they get injured.

3. Combination of the two and try to boost some stats early and then slow it down when my main players are slumping/injured.

4. ???? if you guys have suggestions/questions, i'm all ears.

Thanks.

Sorry man . . i play the Yahoo H2h cuz I hate that positional games played stuff. Did it once and it did not go well. I like your team though, some good picks. JR Smith i think is a great sleeper this year.
