Should I drop Q Rich for JR smith

Post#1 » by ForeverTFC » Mon Nov 3, 2008 11:56 pm

I know JR is going to start getting some big minutes, and he is available on waivers right now in my league. Its only a 7 team league so the teams are pretty solid. I picked up Q Rich with my last pick in the draft becuase I thought he would flourish in the Knicks new system. Hes been doing arrite for me getting me points in the 20s.

This is my team right now

Baron Davis
Tony Parker
Brandon Roy
Josh Howard
Q Richardson
Richard Jefferson
Josh Smith
Antwan Jamison
Micheal Beasly
Amare Stoudemire
Al Jefferson
Tyson Chandler
Emeka Okafor

The only thing Im worried about is that I might run thin on SF as JR is only eligible as SG on Yahoo.
Im really having a hard time trying to decide here, what do you guys think?

I should add he killed it for me last night getting me 42 points.

18.4 points on friday and and 25.95 the wednsday before it. This is a really hard decision!

Not sure. I have Q Rich as well in both my teams and I am really happy with him so far and think he will continue to produce in a new system. I really don't think you can go wrong either way. Both are pretty similar players.

Will more playing time equal more TO/Fouls though?

Thats my only worry. Ive been trying to work with some different situations and trades.

One that sticks out to me is trading Okafor/Josh Howard for Biedrins/Dunleavy.

Dropping Dunleavy and pciking up JR.

Im really not a big fan of Okafor. What do you think about that?

Dunleavy is a dam good fantasy player. I wouldn't dump him for either Q Rich or JR Smith.

That is a good trade IMO. I would do it.

honestly as a knick fan, i think Q Rich will lose his minutes to Wilson Chandler by the all star break.

But then again it might be Jamal Crawford that loses the minutes.
