Dunleavy or ...to drop?

Post#1 » by sixerguy » Thu Nov 13, 2008 11:19 pm

Ginobili is set to return sometime earlier than mid-December according to Rotoworld and he's on my leagues FA list and I want to grab him before someone else does.

Im thinking about dropping Mike Dunleavy for him however cannot find any news besides that he is out indefinitely (which could mean he could be back next week for all I know).

Other guys on my team I'm thin king of dropping for Ginobili are:

Sessions: only problem is..he is my best source of assists (I missed the draft). Roto League too.

Roger Mason: I would choose to drop Mason but it's still too early and he's putting up monster stats now. Problem is, if I wait a couple weeks, Ginobili will already have been pciked up.

Haslem: Not Likely. His stats are solid across the board especially his FG%.

Marquis Daniels: Dependent on Dunleavy's status (which I don't know).

Barbosa: He is performing the worst out of all. Steve Blake is performing better than Barbosa but I refuse to dump him for him. I can't see myself dumping Barbosa but...

Dalembert: Possibly. 7 pts 10 rebounds, 2 blocks.. I already have Gay, Kirelenko, Garnett, and Yao so his numbers arent really needed.

It's a 10 team Roto League. Any advice?

Id dump Barbosa, I wouldnt however drop Dalembert, i am sure someone in your league would trade for him solely on his blocks

Are Barbosa's numbers expected to be as good as last year? Becasue last year he had one less person to compete for minutes with. This year he has the addition of Barnes.

from everything i have read. and seen thus far in the early season, i wouldnt expect barbosa to put up # anywhere close to the last few now that CoachD isnt the coach.

Barbosa definitely won't have as good of a season as he did under D'Antoni. He's only averaging around 20 mins/game because he doesn't fit as well into Porter's system. I had Barbosa and dropped him for D. West because they are essentially the same player but West is shooting MUCH better. I drafted Barbosa pretty high for his 3pt shooting and I made a huge mistake. I didn't realize he would be getting such limited minutes.

I would pick up Ginobli now for either Daniels or Barbosa. I think Mike Dunleavy may come back in a couple of weeks, I saw a report saying there was a possibility of that.
