Francisco Garcia or Marquis Daniels?

Post#1 » by creative1 » Wed Nov 26, 2008 1:13 am

Reports are saying that Garcia will be back by the weekend so I'm very tempted to pick him up in a 10 team, H2H, 10 standard cat league. I drafted him in the 10th round but had to let go of him at the end of week 2 because I could tell it would be awhile before he was back. I'd like to get him back on my squad as he's a great 10 category player and he should get a lot of run this year. My main reservation is that he will be backing up Salmons and probably Martin so I'm not sure how much time he'll get.

My worse player is Marquis Daniels and I need your advice on who is the better bet for the year. I like Daniels and he's been playing very solid but I love guys who shoot the 3 and Garcia has a significant advantage there. Garcia's defensive stats are also better but my concern is playing time. Daniels is going to get starter minutes for as long as Dunleavy is out and I personally believe that won't be for a LONG time, if at all.

So, who do you think the best bet is? Please give me an answer if you took the time to read the whole post. You can give me a one word answer. Garcia or Daniels?

Personal bias towards Garcia, and I always thought he was the more productive player between him and Salmons. So if you look at it that way it's possible Garcia's numbers could come close to Salmons' line. That said, Daniels is more likely to see more minutes, and of course more minutes = more production.

It's a toss up but over the long haul I'd prefer Garcia, personally.
