With Ellis coming back this week is he playing right away or is he still recovering from the injury?

I assume they would start him slowly no matter what. If not, it's still worth monitoring him for a few games before starting him.

Having not played since last season, I'm willing to bet the Warriors would bring him along slowly.

I also wonder what type of role he'll have on that team now. They've completely changed up their roster since the last time he played. No more Davis, which would have been good for him....but they brought in Maggette and Crawford. Does anyone think he is still going to be playing 35+ minutes and starting every game? I really don't.

he might not be playing 35minutes per game (closer to 30) but as soon as he is fully healthy and playing like he was last season.. he will be starting every game.

i just traded my Al Thornton for Monta Ellis.

I'm pretty happy with the upside of the trade. Personally I think Monta will put up numbers very similar to last year, and now would be the time to try and get him, although could be a week or 2 late.

I almost dropped Delonte West for Ellis but I went with Stuckey again, which I'm very happy with. I think Ellis will get back into his old form but I think it will take closer to the end of January. The other concern I have beyond how he will come back from a pretty serious injury is that there's a whole new team waiting for him. Losing Baron was a good thing for Ellis but who knows how he'll play with Crawford, Jackson and Maggette on the floor at once. Things will probably be good with how much they'll be running but there's no telling how they will mesh. I wouldn't call Ellis a natural distributor so he'll be battling with a lot of big time shooters. Just my thoughts. I'm sure he'll still produce but there are a lot of unknowns.

Gotta take it as a wait and see philosophy unless there are some reports out of GS indicating otherwise...

I think he's bound to be playing 30+ minutes again at the very latest in late January - early Feb.... so still 2 good months of Fantasy contribution there if he regains his form.

Saw a video of him taking set shots at practice the other day(stienmetz i think). He was taking it easy and says he can dunk but they won't let him...for whatever that's worth.

Anybody know about Arenas?...haven't heard anything other than January or not at all...can anybody clarify or know anything?
