How are H2H Ties Settled in Playoffs?

Post#1 » by The Duke » Thu Mar 26, 2009 9:44 am

So I'm in a Head 2 Head Battle.

And we in a collision course to finishing 5-5.

I'll win ... Oreb/Rebs/Blks/Stl/FG% and he'll win FT%/Pts/3's/Ast/TO

Does anyone know how this is settled????

Thanks

Tiebreak System

If at the end of the season, two or more players in a Head-to-Head League finish tied in the standings, the following system is used to break the tie:

Overall winning percentage.
Highest winning percentage in Week 21.
Highest winning percentage in Week 20.
Highest winning percentage in Week 19.
Highest winning percentage in Week 18.
Highest winning percentage in Week 17.
Highest winning percentage in Week 16.
Highest winning percentage in Week 15.
Highest winning percentage in Week 14.
Highest winning percentage in Week 13.
Highest winning percentage in Week 12.
Highest winning percentage in Week 11.
Highest winning percentage in Week 10.
Highest winning percentage in Week 9.
Highest winning percentage in Week 8.
Highest winning percentage in Week 7.
Highest winning percentage in Week 6.
Highest winning percentage in Week 5.
Highest winning percentage in Week 4.
Highest winning percentage in Week 3.
Highest winning percentage in Week 2.
Highest winning percentage in Week 1.
Random "coin flip."

In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the deadlock is broken using the following system:

Most team points scored.
Most team rebounds.
Highest team field goal percentage.
Highest team free throw percentage.
Fewest team turnovers.
Most team 3-point shots made.
Most team assists.
Most team steals.
Most team blocked shots.
Random "coin flip."

So unfortunately your opponent will win the match-up since he has the most points.

Well that just sucks.... means I'm gonna have to tow the line... the 5 cats im winning are pretty much set, i got relatively secure leads I think (if I play my players as expected)... He is only secure in Ast/TO ... but based on his team, he should had the best chance to win Pts/3's/FT% (even tho its relatively close now).

I'm down 6 in treys now
Im down abt 50 points... but he's got plenty of scorers Bron/Durant/Granger/
FT% will be difficult without Maggette/Harris ... we both clip FT% high, but I'll assume he takes it.

I have been killed with injuries... the only top 5 pick remaining on my team is Gay (I think). And I was tops in my League at All-Star Break.

I've prolly dropped half my roster the past month.

I'll sacrifice rebounds, and add more 3's ... and see if i can win both.

Novak I'll add ... anyone else... cheap 3point specialist prolly on wire.. getting enuff trey's with a good remaining schedule till Sunday?

Thanks for any insight

I think you need to get 3 pt shooters with good ft% so you can try to win both categories. If you fail in one,you may succeed in the other.

Novak is an obvious choice.Korver is another option.(1,7 3's in last 30 days plus great ft%)

Morrow,Simmons,Charlie Bell,Bogans and House are other names that come to my mind.

So I ended up winning 6-4 ... needed to tank the Sunday's to win Turnovers also, but just enuff to still win stls... came up short in 3's

Prolly, the worst team in history to win a playoff series.

Tyrus Thomas
Noah
Chris Anderson
Kwame Brown
Josh Smith
Eric Gordon
Maurice Evans
John Salmon
Rodney Carney
Flip Murray
Walter Herrmann
David West -- who I dropped 3 days ago (to ensure the playoff win)
A. Varejao
Renaldo Balkmon
Al Thorton
Rudy Gay (who sucks, and most likely dropping tonite)
K. Azubuike

This week is even harder... changing that roster like mad, dropping all the sole 3point shooters... cuz I'm gonna tank Points/3's/Ast... need those cheap wavier wire big man stats

I was forced to drop West mid last week... when I needed other stats, instead of what West provided.

I'm currently getting hammered this week.... I'm losing the bread stats rebs/orebs/blks now that I'll need to have a chance. The drops I did yesterday will have ppl adding those players for sure (they just dont help me this week), but im hopeing as they do that, it ties their wire moves up for the rest of the week.

We'll see what happens, I'll need to win 6-4 to move on, and thats highly unlikely right now.
