Thoughts on Jose Calderon?

Post#1 » by Mchonos » Sun Dec 20, 2009 10:23 am

I've been not happy with him since the beginning of the season.First few weeks he was 60% at FT,assists reduced. And now he got injured? Now i'm thinking to get rid of him.Louis Williams got back. What do you think am I need to get Louis and drop Calderon?

Calderon has been down but he is still a pretty effiecent PG. If you have FG% and TO's as a cat he's still pretty handy. It's pretty hard to get a PG that can shoot over 50%. Personally I wouldn't just dump him. While there hasn't been a lot of updates on his injury the reports do indicate it is not all that serious. I'd try to facilitate a trade first maybe a 2 for 1 deal and then pick up Williams.

If you're in a small league well then maybe it could be OK to do it, if your league is deep then I would keep Jose until there is more news on him or try to trade him.

Well,my league is quite small 10 teams. The problem is that he struggled from early start of the season and now he got injured so I guess there isn't any team who interested to get him.Plus the guys who I play against, they seem to think that Calderon is not a good fantasy player,in fact he is.

So I think I will wait few more days...we'll see what will happen

Garbage. His %s (FG and FT) have very little impact because he takes very few of them either way.

I would just drop him if there are better options out there...but Lou Williams isn't a surefire yet now that AI is back...

Jack is playing well now and It will most likely become equal time share between Jack and Jose...so I don't like Jose's outlook for the rest of the season..
