Offered Haywood/Rush for Pierce/Jianlian

Post#1 » by Anatomize » Tue Feb 16, 2010 8:34 pm

Take it? I really like this deal..12 man H2H

I only have 5 big men : Pau, Haywood, Love, Hibbert, Yi

and 3 rebounding swings : Butler, Gay, Pierce

Haywood is a huge upgrade from Yi.. and Rush as a starter is really not that much worse than Pierce.. plus he blocks more and shoots an identical amount of 3's.. obviously a big hit in FT.. and a significant but not crazy impact on assists..but big time gain in rebounds/blocks/FG

should I do this deal?

Rush is a lot worse than Pierce he was playing better but his last few games has him on my about to be dropped list.

I think I'd pass there's too much uncertaintly around Haywood and Rush.

Yi is trash right now but I wouldn't dump a proven player like Pierce for two enigmas.

I'm getting a lot of positive reviews about the trade.. so far out of 6 fantasy normals you're the first one to say it's not a good deal for me.. Haywood is a 10/10 player with 2 blocks.. Rush doubles Pierce's blocks and rivals him in 3's.. Rush may be a bit inconsistent but he's still landing 36-40 min per night over the last month and a bit.. he's definitely a big upgrade over Yi.. and Haywood as well.. Haywood/Rush = Pierce in my eyes.. I have to dump one anyway on the wire so might as well drop or hand him Yi..

I own both Haywood and Rush and I just feel like Rush is really waiver wire material Jared Dudley for example puts up nearly the same stats as Rush in less minutes.

There's always a chance Rush might catch fire like he did at the end of last season I think that's why some people view him so highly but I think it might be possible for you to trade Pierce for a bigman better than Haywood and then pick up a player who is more or less equivalent to Rush...
