The #1 DDSPB League on the Net

Post#1 » by legacyofdestiny » Tue Aug 10, 2010 12:27 am

Jambolia.com, the #1 DDSPB League on the internet has a few openings as it enters its 10th season.

Jambolia uses a game called Draft Day Sports: Pro Basketball 2 (DDSPB). It is developed by Wolverine Studios. The game is a text based simulation. You do not actually play any games in the sense of a traditional console. Instead you manage your teams different areas (player management, financial management, coaching, etc...). The game then interprets the data evaluating different dimensions of your choices and begins to simulate results. The game uses a rich database of values for everything from player loyalty and greed, to over 50 individual attributes per each player. In a sense you can think of it as a deeper sort of Fantasy Basketball. The main difference being that in Fantasy Basketball you can use any combination of players and win. Where as in DDSPB it takes into account how these players work together, emotion, skill sets, coaching, contracts, etc...

If you ever thought, "I could be a GM of an NBA team," now is your chance to prove yourself.

The responsibilities of our members are to manage their team (setting lineups and coaching), as well as be interactive on the forums on a daily basis. You will also experience an off-season system which is unique to anything available today. Finally, and most importantly, you are surrounded by twenty-nine other general managers you can interact with and trade players with. You will soon learn that one trade can change an entire season.

If you have any questions at all, I would love to answer them. Simply point your browser at Jambolia.com and join our community. If you post your interest to join, I will put you through a short interview process as our openings are rare and we want to make sure we have only the best.

Good luck!
