1st question how many teams in the league.

If it's more than 12 you made the smart move. If it's less than 12 I think you screwed up. If it's at 12 then the trade was neutral.

The reason number of teams comes into play here is because of the quality of the depth that you can find in a 12 or less league is much higher than you can find in a 12 or more league.
