1. Westbrook vs Collison I'm not buying too much in to the Collison hype. Westbrook is getting better and better and more of a sure thing.
2. Zach Randolph vs Marc Gasol Randolph is in a contract year, doesn't need to worry about Thabeet and is one of the most automatic 20/10's there is.
3. Amar'e vs Lee vs Lopez Lee is in GS. Amare might be nice too.
4. Pau Gasol vs winner of #3 Gasol. Surest production.
5. Ray Allen vs Eric Gordon vs Kevin Martin His crazy amount of FT's and focus on D this year give him the edge. I like Ray and Eric better as players. But expect better fantasy production from Kmartin.
6. Ginobili vs winner of #5 Gino was crazy after the AS break.
7. Deron Williams vs Steph Curry Deron is more of a sure thing. Gambliung on Stphen could pay off in a huge way though.
8. Al Jefferson vs Tim Duncan vs Josh Smith Josh does more but hurts your ft. Duncan sucked after the as break and Splitter & Blair will get decent minutes.
9. Noah vs Hibbert Hibbert could bust out but still isnt a good rebounder. I'd take Noah here.
10. Carmelo vs Wade Wade will still do all the small things which made him a roto monster. Blks, Stls, 3Pts, ast good %'s.

Thanks guys. One of the main questions I have is about Curry. I still don't know why he is rated so high (I think #9 on ESPN)... I know he'll get 3's, but what else will justify him being that high. His FG% should be around 45-48%, his FT will be decent, maybe a steal, no blocks, no rebounds with lee and biedrins starting, some assists, maybe like 4-6 with ellis and even lee getting some. So am I just missing something? Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about other players cutting into his stats. Yes the Warriors added David Lee, but they also lost other players who got boards last year. If a guard is averaging 4.5 boards a game like Curry did as a rookie, he probably is doing something to get himself into position for those boards and will still get them. I also wouldn't worry about Ellis taking assists from him, as they played together last year and Curry still avaeraged 6 a game for the season.

Keep in mind that Curry's post All-Star statline was insane for a rookie. He averaged 22 points, just under 8 assists, 5.5 boards, and 2 steals a game with nearly 3 3 pointers and very good shooting percentages. There aren't many players who contribute across the board like that.

1. Westbrook - He's at another level and has done it longer than Collison has.

2. Marc Gasol - I don't like bigs who can't really block. Plus he's younger and has room to improve.

3. Amare - Has a good situation in New York, will score a ton.

4. Pau - Assists are a bonus from him. I would still think hard about Amare over him though.

5. Kevin Martin - He's the better fantasy player at this point. Elite threes and percentages!

6. Martin - Same as reason above. Gino will always be limited off the bench.

7. Deron - If Nelly was still around then Curry. Now I'm not so sure. Could go either way.

8. Josh Smith - Blocks and Steals are at a premium. He's elite in both!

9. Noah - Better rebounder and shotblocker

10. Wade - To much uncertainty in Melo's situation.

As for your question on why Curry is ranked so high. It's pretty easy to answer...Last season he finished 6th in the league in 3-pointers. 10th in assists, and finally 2nd in steals. Meanwhile he shot 88.5% from the line which is the 3rd highest out of anyone in the top 20 according to Yahoo's rankings. And his fg% is higher than Kobe's, Melo's, and most of the other guards in his range. Basically he can carry your team in three categories (possibly four) and won't hurt you whatsoever anywhere else. Let alone he did all this as a 22 year old rookie.

1 - Collison. I'm not buying the Collison hype either but I really hate Westbrook's fantasy game. Horrible FG%, next to no 3pters, pretty average steals. Collison may not give as many assists but he'll give you 1+ 3pter and a far better FG%. Also, in 8-cat Collison's turnovers aren't an issue.

2 - Gasol. FT% sucks but Randolph's is a historically inconsistent and injury prone player who specializes in points and rebounds with little else. Gasol is a far more stable big option because he gives you the big man staples: FG%, rebounds, blocks.

3 - Lopez. Same thing as Gasol: you get the 3 big man cats from him (FG%, rebounds, blocks). You also get a solid FT% to boot.

4 - Pau. He's a rich man's Lopez.

5 - Kevin Martin. If Gordon ever remembers how to hit FTs again (85% his rookie year, 75% last year, and he's still struggling in preseason). As long as he stays healthy Martin is a HUGE boost in FT% (in the class of Dirk & Durant) and he shouldn't be a big drain on FG% or turnovers this year. Couple that with mediocre rebounding, up to 2 3pters, and a steal and you've got a very efficient 2-guard that you can plug into almost any situation.

6 - Manu. Really close call here. To me it's a pick 'em that really depends on what kind of strategy you employ. I'm fond of guards who get assists/steals/3s/FT% so Manu wins based on having a healthy dose of assists and more steals. He's also slightly less injury prone. I do think that Martin has far more upside, though.

7 - Deron. First round picks are all about safety. Curry may have finished top 10 according to Yahoo's rankings last year but Deron is still the safer pick here. He won't get you the 3s or steals that Curry will likely get but he will get significantly more assists than Curry and that is VERY valuable.

8 - Duncan. Doesn't have the injury issues of Big Al nor does he have the "can he do it again" & FT% issues that Smith has. What's great about Duncan is you know what you'll get from him: near 20 points, 10 rebounds, 1.5-2 blocks, 2.5-3 assists, solid FG%, and a FT% right around 70.

9 - Noah. Don't like Hibbert at all. I think he's far to slow to ever be a good rebounder and the remainder of their stats are pretty similar.

10 - Wade. Both have a lot of uncertainty right now: Melo with his possible trade and Wade with his injury history and newfound team mates. In the end I think you go with Wade. Lebron & Bosh shouldn't stop him from collecting 2 steals and over a block a game nor should it have a negative effect on his FG%. His points, rebounds, and assists may decrease but I don't think they go that far. I'd expect in the realm of 20/5/5 minimum from him.

1) Westbrook- Downside is he has a bad FG% but he's a better PG overall than Collison in terms of stats. You can always build a team that tanks FG% (even though you'd usually target back-court players that get 3's, which Westbrook doesn't do). However, you can still make up for that with later round picks (Brooks, Ariza are two that immediately come to mind-> low FG%, high 3's, Ariza also getting steals). Point is, it depends on your strategy, but based on pure value, Westbrook>Collison.

2) Zach vs Gasol- I'd take Gasol. Zach is a legit 20/10 big when his game is on and it is a contract year. However, Zach doesn't give you any defensive stats. I'd prefer a team that is firmly skewed towards a big-ball team or small-ball team. Zach in reality, lies more in the middle. Gasol will be a better value pickup if you decide to tank FT%. (Key targets in this strat include Josh Smith, Dwight, and Rondo).

3) Amare-Lee-Lopez.......Lopez, I expect a bounce back year. Lee and Amare are playing in a new system. Lee doesn't get blocks but is a good small-ball team type big, he's basically a better version of Amare. I prefer Lopez because he posts similar offensive/rebounding stats (ft%, points, fg%, rebounds) but gets you blocks and has more upside.

4) Gasol vs #3 winner-> Gasol, easily. You can count on Pau to get you 18/10 at the very least and at least 1.5 blocks. With high %'s on his offensive cats. He's consistent.

5) Ray Allen, Eric Gordon, Kevin Martin-> Martin, perfect for a small ball team that tanks fg% and stacking 3's. He's a better fantasy version of the other 2.

6) Ginobli vs Martin-> Ginobli, does everything #5 does but is more effective at doing it, and gets you steals. Only concern is injuries, but Martin hasn't been an iron man either.

7) Deron vs Steph- Steph, high risk pick but I firmly believe Steph>Deron in fantasy. Doesn't get you as much assists, but gets way more of the other categories. Specifically, steals, and 3's. Has tremendous upside whereas Deron does not. Was ranked higher than Deron last year in fantasy. If he repeats his line from last year, I'd take him over Deron. That's not even accounting the upside factor.

8) Al Jeff-Duncan-Josh Smith- Josh, easily. Seems self-explanatory. They are all not good ft% shooters, get similar offensive stats but Josh's age (25), and superior defensive categories seal this.

9) Noah vs Hibbert- Draw Noah has a crappy FT% but rebounds better. Hibbert is more effective with his %'s, but gets slightly more blocks, worst rebounds. Go for Hibbert if you have a good FT shooting team and aren't taking it (i.e if you have Gasol or Lopez). Go for Noah if your tanking FT's (i.e if you have Marc Gasol or Dwight or something)

10) Carmelo vs Wade-> Close call, I wouldn't pick either, I'm sure there would be better players available around their relative positions. If it came down to it, I'd take Wade. Both are T.O headaches, don't give great stats that aren't viable in later round picks. Wade has the Big 3 to deal with but I don't expect a huge drop off. Carmelo has bigger issues in Denver, but the fact of the matter is, Wade is a better fantasy player than Carmelo in any given year. The big 3 shouldn't change the pecking order THAT much.

Bolded my picks but heres the explaination:
Westbrook - if you take out TO, putting up with Westbrooks FG% is tolerable..plus he is due for a breakout year
Marc Gasol - Randolph scares me more (troubled history, nothing but PTS REB) so Marc it is.
Amare - I love this guy, and he was number 3 overall 2 years ago. He doesn't kill FT% as bad as other bigs. his REB numbers are a bit low, but I can fill that need later.
Amare again - I like Pau alot, but I don't know if he's ever stayed healthy two years in a row...really these picks are equal in my opinion...just take who you like more Pau for AST and AMARE for PTS.
Kevin Martin - Why isn't J Rich in this list? He fits much better than Eric Gordon and Ray Allen. Injury history is scary with KevMart...but 85% + FT on 7+ attempts a game can really help you seal the cat.
Manu - Both are injury risks...but Manu does more with less...He's a better roto player and Manu doesn't hurt you anywhere except minimally in FG% (and blks...but we're talking SG)
Deron Williams - More time in the league, and Steph looks like a brutal injury waiting to happen (I'm biased toward really skinny guys). Then again Roto does let you get by with the occaional injury, so Steph is worth the bite early...I'd still take Deron first though.
J Smoove - I love Al Jefferson, but the added weight will help him play Center...but not much else. J Smoove is a liability on FT%...but all the guys to pick from here were. He's across the board (althought he stopped shooting the 3)..and thats why I like him.
Hibbert - I hate Noah. I hate his stupid voice, his stupid attitude, and his stupid hair (Troy Paulamalo should really sue, I mean he's got a 1 mil insurance policy on his locks...get Noah to pay to keep his hair that way). Hibbert is a better FT% bet as well, with similar stats.
WADE - Wade is a do-it-all player and is perfect for roto. Mello gives you Points and a small boost on other areas...I'm never really fond of Mello in any draft considering how high he goes.

Noah last year FT's

2.6 made 3.4 attempts 74.4%

Hibbert:

2.1 made 2.8 attempts 75.5%

So I don't think that's too much of a difference and hardly crappy for a big man.

That's a good point. I looked it up a bit after I wrote that and realized I made a mistake on that part. I guess I was basing that off of Noah's previous seasons. I take what I said back, Noah>Hibbert. Even though I think Hibbert is higher than his relative rank on Yahoo (Around 9th round) whereas Noah is 4th-5th.

1. Westbrook - I think that what he contributes is more of a given....you know what you're going to get from Westbrook. Whereas with Collison, the hope is that he can put up similiar #s as he did when he was the Starter....but there's not guarantee that he can...especially playing for a Coach like Jim O'Brien.
2. Zach Randolph vs Marc Gasol - Toss up depending on your needs. I think that ZBo will put up big scoring/rebounding/FG% #s in a Contract year.....so if you need a huge Double/Double guy....he's your man. If you need some decent scoring from a Center and some shotblocking....then Gasol is your man.
3. Lopez - I'm more of a fan of what Lopez brings....he's a solid scorer with a very good FG%, good FT% shooter and consistently rebounds and block shots.
4. Pau Gasol Vs. BLopez - if both were available....I'd lean slightly towards Pau cuz he'll probably provide better scoring in the end. Honestly...it's a toss up if both were available.
5. Kevin Martin - Mainly for his scoring as he'll be relied upon to carry a huge burden of the scoring on the Team.
6. Ginobili vs winner of #5 - KMart....Ginobilli is more well rounded....but I think that KMart will be healthier.
7. Deron Williams vs Steph Curry - Deron....more assists and the #1 scoring option on the Team.
8. Al Jefferson vs Tim Duncan vs Josh Smith - AlJeff....with Milsap, they'll take the bulk of the PF/C minutes. Add in that he's a PF/C and it helps.
9. Noah vs Hibbert - I'm biased.....as a Pacer fan, I'm going with Hibbert and pray that JO'B properly uses him on the offensive end while hoping that his rebounding #s go up a bit with Murphy gone.
10. Carmelo vs Wade - Carmelo...wherever he goes, he'll be the #1 scoring option on the Team....with Wade, I have no clue how his stats will be affected by Lebron and the 3rd Chalie's Angel that no one cares about ( Bosh ).
