Need some trade help...

Post#1 » by Starkiller » Tue Nov 30, 2010 4:21 pm

I've been offered Monta/Amare/Camby for Wade/Griffin/Noah. I look at Amare being equal to Griffin only being better FT and with some Blocks thrown in. Monta is outplaying Wade this year. Only hang up is sacraficing Noah for Camby, does it make it worth it? Here's my team....

Nash
Wade
Mayo
Ariza
Noah
Griffin
Okafor
C. Brewer
Turiaf
Tyson Chandler
Darko
Hinrich
Stuckey

I think I'd pass.

Griffin + Wade for Amar'e + Ellis is pretty much a wash.

I think I'd prefer the Amar'e + Ellis duo for some of the reasons you mentioned + because they're known commodities but for me that's not enough to justify downgrading from Noah to Camby.

If I were you I might try and push a Griffin+ for Amar'e+ trade in which you send out some of your "filler" players for some of his "filler" players.

You'd bolster your blocks and increase your FT% without losing too much else that way.

So you don't think the benefit of Monta/Amare of Griffin/Wade is enough to justify trading Noah for Camby?

Exactly.

What categories are you good / bad in?

FT, FG, and and 3's are my weakest, with blocks kind of on the edge and could use a boost.

For me personally I would take Monta over Wade and Amare over Griffin. Even though his ft% has improved, I still think Griffin is a killer in that category. There's nothing he really does that's any better than what Amare does.

I would take the trade but I would try to keep Noah instead of Camby. Try to make it a 2 for 2 type deal.

I took it, I'm gonna try and pair Camby with Mayo or Ariza and see if I can land someone like Love or Hibbert or something.
