Brook Lopez+Devin Harris for Joakim+Tyreke, Should I accept?

Post#1 » by Shake3 » Tue Dec 7, 2010 11:36 pm

alright so this year, me and my friends decided to play fantasy. so we made a league together, and we're all rookies to this. But i was offered this and im on the fence on this because lopez hasnt been rebounding well, and Joakim gets more boards, but lopez brings the points... but anyways heres my team:

Jrue Holiday
Nicolas Batum
Kobe Bryant
Danilo Gallinari
Gerald Wallace
Anthony Morrow
Marc Gasol
Joakim Noah
Derrick Rose
Emeka Okafor
Tyreke Evans
Jeff Green
Tony Parker

Dont know if these are the right terms, but its a H2H league, and 10 players count towards the score per game...(dont know what that term is called for it :P). Tips are also welcomed as like i said earlier, its my first time playing fantasy ball.

You'll be giving up your rebounding and would be rather weak in that cat if you took harris and lopez. Joakim is a double double basically, and evans gets good stats all around although he's been injured. Lopez gets you points but only has had one double double this season, and that was in a 2OT game, he barely got 11 rebs i think. Harris has been injured and up and down also.

Boozer is biting into Noah's stats though, so thats something to think about

^^^exactly what i was thinking bud, i find noah more valuable than brook as of now anyways, seeing as how lopezs rebounding numbers suddenly dropped from last year, is favors the one grabbing them from him ??

I'd do the trade.

I think that Harris and Tyreke is a wash. Both guys are experiencing minor injuries. And either way, both guys are ranked around at top 50. But right now, Reke is playing poorly and is ranked at the hundreds, right now I do value Harris higher than Reke since you need Reke to step up to his old ways to be a top 50 fantasy player. Unlike with Harris, who already is a top 50 fantasy player and is playing with a coach who seems to have given him the keys to pad whatever stats he wants.

Then about the Brook-Noah trade, Brooks definitely got higher value here. Noah's value should get a dip, playing alongside a good rebounder like Boozer. On the other hand, you'd be buying low on Brook Lopez.
