Batum Raining Threes, Though His Fantasy Value Could Drop

Post#1 » by MNC3333 » Wed Feb 9, 2011 1:16 am

Nicolas Batum (Por - SG,SF) Over his last four games, Nicolas Batum has averaged 38+ minutes per game. Batum has averaged 15 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 3PTM and only 1.3 turnovers over these last four games. He has also shot 92% from the line and and 47% from the field during this time.

However, Batum's value could take a hit soon with the return of Brandon Roy. According to Yahoo Sports, Roy is ready to return to game action. Though Roy may need to get a few practices under his belt first, he could return sometime this week.

There's no guarantee that Brandon Roy will stay healthy, but when he comes back it is likely that he will take minutes from Wesley Matthews and Nicolas Batum. I wouldn't drop Batum, but you should keep a close eye on how quickly the Trailblazers ease Roy back. Portland's next game will be Friday night, February 11th against Toronto.
