The Chinese POWs

Post#1 » by hammertoes » Sat Jan 28, 2012 10:41 pm

Sorry if this has been answered before... I'm new to fantasy basketball.

When exactly do JR Smith and Wilson Chandler get out of their Chinese contracts? I know it's supposed to be March, but are we talking early March or late? I have an open roster space and was thinking of stashing one of these guys.

Who would you pick out of the two?

Not even worth stashing even in deep leagues.

When are they expected to be back?

As I understand it, they are supposed to be back when the chinese basketball league ends....is that is in mid-february or March?

knowing when they will be back could help figure out when to pick up Wilson Chandler off of the FA market...whose the only Player left that has any fantasy value.

Their regular season ends on Feb. 15th, but they won't be eligible to return to the NBA until their teams are eliminated from the playoffs so it could be early March when you see them start playing NBA games, but there's still half a season left to play at that point which is plenty.

I would choose Chandler depending on what team he lands on. There are rumours that the Raptors are going to go after him hard and if he ends up on the Raptors (which I really don't want to see happen), I could see him putting up good numbers.
