Players on your team that have surprised you

Post#1 » by bucketz » Wed Feb 8, 2012 3:43 am

I must say, Jarret Jack has been great with the exception of the past couple of games. I thought his numbers would be good but I wasn't expecting the consistency that I was getting from him. This guy has been balling for me.

Gortat. Gortat's numbers are unreal. Love this guy.

Anybody else? Honestly just looking for other players to trade for....haha

Al Harrington for me ... I drafted him in the last couple of rounds and one can say that he's been outproducing my first round pick, Amare Stoudemire.

Jennings. I drafted him in the 13th round lol. My league must be pissed.
Nash has been a nice surprise i was expecting more of a drop.
Ryan anderson was a beastly waiver wire pick up in like 5 different leagues.

No one really one my teams but in general Kobe and Rubio (I've always been a Rubio homer but I definitely wasn't expecting 3rd round value in his rookie year).

In a 20 team roto league. Picked up Alonzo Gee early in the season when he was averaging something like 10pts, 3 reb, 3 assists, 1 three, 1 steal. Now he's getting starter minutes. (I know he's a scrub in 12 man leagues but you got to understand how dry the waiver wires are in 20 man leagues! LOL).

And I'm sure Jeremy Lin has been a surprise to everyone.. surprised didn't see his name in this thread yet. lol

Ryan Anderson (picked him after his first game of the season), Demarcus Cousins (only got him after he started putting up double-doubles every night), and Steve Nash (I thought he was aging lol) have impressed me the most from my team.

Tyson Chandler has been solid as well, but it's been at the expense of Amare, another guy on my team.

Paul George, Nic Batum, and Kyrie Irving.

I drafted all three based on potential, and they've all fared pretty well for me. Especially Batum lately, since becoming a starter he's been a monster. And yes, I threw Kyrie in there. I wasn't expecting his %'s to be as good as they have been.
