jefferson + blank is = or > to gortat + garnett, so him asking for anyone else makes it a non-starter
how does FGA work? the more FGA the better?
then jefferson is a beast in this format. a ton of FGA, very few TO + his general stats which are already ~top15?

I actually think the original trade is fine. Al Jef in these settings comes off as early 2nd, Gortat early 3rd, Garnett mid 4th.
You have a stud team under these settings. Maybe McGee? You'd have to drop someone anyways. He's the only guy on your team who's not top 60ish under these settings. Funny settings. Its weird seeing Thorton as a stud.
Lateral move IMO since you got to drop somebody pretty good.
