Trade offer

Post#1 » by take1fortheteam » Sun Oct 21, 2012 3:46 am

I'm not sure what to do. I was offered Pekovic and Beal for JSmoove. I'm thinking Josh will score a lot more since Johnson left, and he pretty much just stat stuffs. However, he might get lazy since Atlanta might not be as competitive as last year. Then you have Pekovic who'll probably beast with Love out, and Beal who's a question mark as a rook.

I would say no. Josh Smith's averages over the past 3 seasons: 17 Points, 1.8 Blocks, 1.4 Steals, 3.8 Assists, and 8.9 Rebounds. Other than perhaps LeBron and KD, nobody contributes more across the board than Smith. This is also his contract year. Without Joe Johnson, his role in the offense is expected to expand. He has also been durable, missing only 6 games the past 3 seasons. Pekovic is a solid center but he's not going to beast more than he did last year without Love who is viewed as top priority for opposing defense.

Hell no. Those two will get you some poitns, rebounds, fg%, especially in Love's wake, but Smith's close to a double double in poitns and rebounds, defensive stat stuffer in steals and blocks, plus gets you a few assists. 20ppg at this point without JJ doesn't seem unreasonable as he's expected to be more involved in touching the ball, on both sides.

I've got a trade proposal I have no idea whether to accept or reject... I'd send Chris Paul, Ricky Rubio and Luol Deng and get Monta Ellis, Marc Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki and Spencer Hawes in return. Any idea of what should I do?
