Wade for Love?

Post#1 » by mcg1 » Mon Oct 22, 2012 6:57 pm

I had the tenth pick in my league (ten teams) H2H.

I am proposed with a trade for wade, I get Love in return.

I have the following players on my team:

Wade
Bynum
Pau Gasol
Iguodala
Kyle Lowry
Manu Ginobili
Anderson Varejao
Tyreke Evans
Chris Kaman
Klay Thompson
Glen Davis
Jeff Green
Omer Asik

While, you're at it, it would be nice if you can comment on my team and address my strengths/weaknesses.

Thanks!

Hey there. To be honest, I found your trade idea, giving away Wade for the 2-month absent Love, "meaningless". But my main reason is not Love's injury, let's see your roster's breakdown:

Big Man "who can really rebound":

Bynum, Gasol, Varejao, Ömer Aşık, Kaman

Guards "who can really pass"

Wade(?), Lowry, Evans

Players like Manu and Igoudala are little bit of everything, especially AI. So what I'm trying to say, my friend. You are really good at Rebounding departmant but a little short at AST. So why giving away a player who can have 4,5 apg ??

IMO, you don't need any big man, all you need is having a better guard.

In one of my fantasy teams, that I couldn't attend to live draft, ended up having Ty Lawson, Brandon Jennings, Russell Westbrook, Luke Ridnour, George Hill, Mo Williams as my PGs. And big men were Nene Hilario, Samuel Dalembert, Marcus Camby, Ryan Anderson

I went out to get a big man and had this deal:

Jennings+Dalembert = Marc Gasol+ Kemba Walker

You need opposite of my trade move. Shouldn't give away where you are short at, don't make yourself Utah Jazz point guard rotation of 12-13.

In a regular 1 for 1 I'd take Love every time. But seeing that you have a bunch of bigs... I'd at least try to work the 2 for 2's and try to net back a PG at least...
