Good players to target via trades for 3PT, AST, STL, BLK??

Post#1 » by mtx » Mon Nov 12, 2012 5:23 am

Specifically looking for key players that will have a breakout season this year and can contribute in 3PT, AST, STL, BLK, low TO...outside of the PG position.

Batum for sure.

For a cheaper option, AK47. He is the king of the ast, stl, blk combo and he hits the occasional three.

Pretty much all have been said...

Nicolas Batum, Paul George, Andrei Kirilenko...If you're willing to give up some top picks you can try for Kevin Durant, Lebron James, or Dwane Wade. Even Kobe. Pretty much the reason why they're top picks. But their TO's aren't low...

Where does Iguodala rank vs Batum, George, AK, Gay?

Right around there. I remember during my draft Batum, Iguodala and George were all next to each other (I think)... I chose Batum though.

You might be able to get Dorrell Wright for alot cheaper. He may not give you that many assists, but he's going to give you solid treys and he does get the occassional steal/block combo.

But for heavy-hitters, I would say players like Batum and George are definitely your candidates for getting these stats. I think Mo Williams is another candidate for treys, assists, and steals. He's going to have a great year in Utah this season barring any injuries because he really doesn't have any other PG's threatening him for playing time.

I think JJ Redick is very underrated right now. Orlando pretty much has no offensive options and JJ Redick is currently starting at the SG spot. He has very nice scoring capability and can give you a healthy dose of points and treys. He's also averaging about 5 assists per game right now as he seems to be playing more of a facilitator role this season which is a huge bonus.

Paul Millsap is coming up big again this season. Looks like he's added a new 3-point range to his game. Which means he can suddenly become an elite fantasy player if he can consistently put up points, rebounds, and shoot treys. On top of that, he's one of those rare commodities that can average 1.0+/1.0+ in steals and blocks as well.

Is there any possibility Millsap could lose playing time to Derrick Favors, especially since Millsap is expiring ?

I think Millsapp will be eased into a 6th man role.

I think if there is a power struggle between Favors and Millsap, then one of them will be traded before the deadline this year. But as long as both of them are there, I'm thinking Millsap will continue to start for now.

For a while since Amare is not coming back anytime soon. His %'s will drop, but he's got what you wanted.
