I just pulled off two separate deals

Post#1 » by smooveroots » Fri Dec 7, 2012 7:48 pm

I am in yahoo H2H, 9cat league. I pulled the trigger on two deals today....The first trade was to get more blocks and I think i made a sacrifice giving up Lawson.

First deal

My Lawson & Cousin for Gortat & M Thornton

Second deal

My Hibbert for Millsap

Please let me know your honest opinion on both trades.
Thanks

well it depends on your team. the first trade you lose out pretty hard on assists and steals, but gortat and thonrton right now are giving you way better fg% and ft%. however thats mostly because lawson is shooting like absolute ass. this is a guy whose a career 49fg% and 76ft% but is currently at 42fg% and 60ft%.

so i mean if you think lawson is going to keep playing this poorly and didnt need assists its ok. i personally dont like the trade because i wouldnt give up on lawson and cousins right now.

as far as the second trade, im not sure. hibbert is shooting abysmally from the field and it really kills his value right now. all he gives over millsap currently is blokcs, but if he could just get his fg% above like 40% theyd actually be pretty close in production.

er looking at your team in your sig im a bit confused about the trades. i assume you made the first trade to get better fg% and ft% but you already have guys like ellis and asik on your team so i would imagine those are your weakest cats. imo you shouldve just traded hibbert for millsap, punted blocks, and called it a day.

Don't sell low on Lawson. Hop all over the second deal.

^ Agreed. That first trade is absolutely terrible for you.

I think i jumped the gun on the first trade. I was thinking Lawson is being held back because of Iggy, the same way he held back Holiday. I know Lawson had a big game and that was because Iggy was horrible that night. As for Cousin, i am not sure if his head is in the game this year and his team right now is horrible and i see him coasting most of the time. I am more attached to not letting Cousin go as to Lawson this year.

This might be the worst trade i have done but it is a learning curve for my first year playing fantasy hoops.
