Jamal Crawford for Kyle Lowry, Veto?
Should I veto this? I still think Lowry is a superior fantasy player to Crawford..

I would say no. Lowry is playing behind Calderon right now and is also an injury risk. He is more valuable than Crawford, but the gap isn't big enough to veto the trade.

To give context the team getting Lowry is in first and the team getting Crawford is in last so I felt like it might be a pickpocket type move.
But anyway, thanks, I'll probably let it go through.

I the last place guy active? Does he pick up and drop guys and set his lineup? It's seems like a I give up and don't give a **** move from the last place guy. If the dude's not active I'd veto 100%.
There is a really big gap between the two guys. Ya, Lowry's coming off the bench and its a small sample size but he's the 20th ranked guy over that period. He'll start once the Raps cool off too. Crawford's rank is deceiving. He's 72nd but over the last month he's 134th. He's cooled off significantly and he's nothing more than an end of the roster kind of guy. Plus Billups will be back at some point.
Personally I'd vetoed it because I think this trade would **** with the competitive balance of the league but every league has their own view on how and whether or not to use the veto so go with your gut.
I'd also not let the last place guy in the league next year.

You can veto it, tell the last place guy it's suspicious because he hasn't been active in a while (assuming he hasn't), but that if he does want to play out the string, stay active and re-propose it in 2-4 weeks if he still wants to do it -shrugs-

Not veto-worthy. Lowry is splitting minutes with Calderon.

Re: Jamal Crawford for Kyle Lowry, Veto?
How can people say this is not Veto worthy... That is completely laughable. Coming off the bench or not Lowry still puts up top25 value because he brings 3's scoring rebounding assists steals and even blocks from a PG. Crawford has had a decent year but his fantasy production has basically fallen off the planet the past month. hes been ranked like 145 for the past month. Lowry is at 70 this past month and that includes getting injured, coming back from an injury AND working his way back to the starting line up, which any raptors fan should know is coming.
Lowry >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Crawford at basically everything fantasy basketball wise
I would Veto in a heart beat. Esp since the last place team is trading Lowry to the first place team. You can tell me honestly you think that helps his team in any way? Aside from shooting a better FT % on less attempts please tell me how this is not Veto worthy

Because micromanaging Basketball Leagues is stupid
On a even playing field if a GM wants to trade Crawford for Lowry they should be able too. A Bad trade does not equal a Veto worthy trade . If there is no cheating or collusion it should stand.

Veto's dum. I'd rather quit a league than veto a trade.

I agree micromanaging is stupid, but this is inching on probable collusion when the last place team is trading the significantly better player than the first place team

Last place team and first place team making a lopsided trade and getting hosed in the process? Like others have said if the last place team is not especially active I'd veto it.

"Probable" collusion? Based on what evidence? Circumstantial at best.
Do what you want to do, dude. You obviously don't want to hear about the other side. What's the point in arguing about it?

Re: Jamal Crawford for Kyle Lowry, Veto?
I hate it when I join a friends' league and there's a few idiots who don't know how to draft properly. After a few weeks they start to realize they're bottom dwellers and stop setting up lineups and then comes the eventual lopsided trade with a buddy. The same thing happened in one of my leagues where there was a Blake Griffin/Kris Humphries swap
Both teams are in last place and 12th respectively in a 16 team league so I just learned to laugh it off.
Anyways, that seems to be somewhat of the case here so yeah, I'd definitely veto it considering the guy getting Lowry is in 1st, that could all but lock it up for him. Let's not act is if Lowry wasn't a fantasy stud at one point, sure he's coming off the bench but he'll be putting up big numbers soon enough.
