Why is Lopez and Kidd ranked so high?
Top 50? Just because they're efficient? But they don't pick up stats for ****

Players who don't hurt you anywhere and excel in one or two categories (Lopez: blocks and FG%; Kidd: steals and 3s) are way more valuable than you think.
Kidd is an 8-cat stud, only below average at FG%. Lopez is only below average in TOs, and even then, barely (I'm only calling him below-average there because his TO rate is high for someone with such a low usage rate; bigs in general are supposed to have low TOs).
His blocks are regressing to the mean in January, though, so buyer beware.
Kidd's been a fantasy stud for a very long time (last year was the first time in forever he wasn't a t50 guy, and even then he was serviceable in 9-cat leagues) so I have no qualms about rostering him. His FG% isn't as bad as you think since he doesn't shoot much.

But Apathy in your opinion aren´t both of them in jeorpardy of losing their value in the 2nd half of the season?
Brown and Sump are going to steal their minutes?

Not too worried about Kidd. He's not just a numbers-compiler; he's still one of the better players in the NBA. Most NBA teams have very smart people crunching numbers and lineup data, and they are likely well-aware of this. Wages of Wins, for example, still pegs him as an elite player on a per-minute basis.
Obviously he's going to -- is already, if you look at his January numbers -- decline; he wasn't going to give you second-round value all year. He has his ups and downs. But he's also not going to go from a 2nd rounder to droppable. I wouldn't panic. Be judicious in your use of him; right now he should be benched/spot started. But overall I'd peg him as a t50 guy for the 2nd half of the season.
Shoot, if JR Smith keeps chucking up bricks, he's the one who should see his PT decline. I think he's overextended in 33+ mpg. And he hasn't been shooting straight for 6 weeks now. And Shumpert isn't some stud; he's a bit player. I doubt he sees more than 22 mpg, barring significant improvement over his rookie season.
I am aware of my potential biases; I may be seeing this w/ rose-colored glasses. I've been a big Kidd fan the past 4-5 seasons, as every year people hate him and every year I snap him up and every year he helps me win leagues (last year excepted).
It's a tough situation to project because the Knicks are so deep. But Kidd is the ultimate glue-guy, and fits a lot of the Knicks' needs: rebounding, spot-up shooting, ball-handling, yet the requisite unselfishness to allow the gunners to gun. He also possesses the ability to guard 2s, allowing him to cross-match with the Shumperts and Feltons, and offering major flexibility in small-ball lineups.
The rebounds, steals and 3s will always give him peripheral fantasy value at worse.

I know the 3, steals and low TO will be there... but what about his volume?
33mpg I think it is too much for a 150 years old dude... He can´t defende anyone nowadays...
Thanks for your opinion Apathy

Kidd and Chandler are two veteran players the Knicks need to have on the floor. So Kidd will always get his minutes, and with them, he usually produces decent numbers while not bringing your other negative cats down too much. My only qualm with him, is by fantasy play offs, given his age, his minutes might diminish or he may get dnp's entirely until the start of the actual play offs. so if thats a risk youre willing to take, then give kidd a long look.
Note: the knicks have a GREAT fantasy playoff schedule.

his defenese isnt really that bad. in fact, he'll give you 1-2 steals a game.

Re: Why is Lopez and Kidd ranked so high?
It's a valid question
I have Lopez and Kidd on my team and if used correctly they can be quiet valuable as role players.
They. Won't carry you like traditionally star or top 40 players. If you need 20/10 from Lopez or 15pts and 8assts they will most likely disappoint u
Just think of them as guys that get unique stats without hurting you.
