Trade George Hill/Bynum and get Tristan Thompson/Granger?

Post#1 » by yakkoinfront » Fri Jan 18, 2013 11:46 pm

My current team in 10-team, 10 cat (Points/FG%/FT%/FTM/3p/rebs/asts/bks/sts/to)

Jeremy Lin
Jarret Jack
Steve Nash
George Hill

Manu Ginobili
James harden
Danilo Gallinari
Josh Smith

Brook Lopez
Amir Johnson
Nene Hilario
Larry Sanders
Andrew Bynum

It would be basically Bynum/Hill -> Thompson/Granger. I like the idea, but I'm worried that the solution is only temorary (with no other good centers available in FA aside from varejao and Ed Davis) till varejao returns, and that Thompson will destroy my FT% while Bynum has proven to be a better FT shooter. Hill has been giving t-50 value all year~

Also, Matt Barnes is a free agent. I was wondering if I should drop Nene/Johnson for Barnes?

No.

Hill >> Thompson. Granger > Bynum but come on, they're both injured atm.

Drop Amir for Barnes.

awesome thanks~

I've been trying to unload Hill before his value goes down hill with granger's return. But I haven't been able to yet (offered everyone but no trades happening in my league). Hopefully his numbers will remain comparable with Danny back.

WOW

Varejao is officially out for the entire year, making Thompson the official starter.
Does this change Thompson's value? I can still make the trade.

Actually, Tyler Zeller is still a FA. Should I swap Ed Davis for him?

I'd do it. Granger has much higher upside than Bynum. You could make a case that Hill/Bynum for Granger alone is worth it. I think I've been underrating the impact Granger has; per game he's always t30.

Is that banking on the idea that Granger has a better chance of returning to full strength? I thought Bynum was potentially t20.

That's true; Bynum was a first-rounder on a per-game basis last year. But he'd never done that before. Hmm. I don't even know. It's so difficult to project him. The error margin is so high; we're basically talking about a gut call.

This trade is even as hell.

Re Zeller, hard to say. Awful FG% this month but blocks are super valuable.
