Time to Drop Kidd?

Post#1 » by vurtzzz » Mon Jan 28, 2013 6:36 pm

With Shumpert and Felton healthy, I expect a huge dip in Kidd's numbers. Is it time to drop him?

My team:
LBJ
Lin
JRSmith
Tristian Thompson
Kidd
Cousins
AK47
Crawford
Foye
Jerryd Bayless
Bynum
Amir Johnson
Mayo
Rubio

It's a H2H league, 9 cats, 10 teams.
The WW is:
Marion
Hayward
Ray Ray
Elton Brand

I'm glad they went to Felton-Kidd-Shumpert because I suspect that could be their best lineup. But with Amare playing well they may be forced to go Felton-Kidd-Melo-Amare. I don't think Kidd will suddenly turn useless -- Shumpert just isn't that good; frankly he's not better than Ronnie Brewer -- so I don't buy him rendering Kidd useless. It's more about pacing Kidd for the playoffs. So I could see Kidd suffer for a month or so while the rotation shakes out, but in the end be the guy you want.

TL;DR: Only drop him for someone worthy. Otherwise exercise patience and hold w/ the rough times.

Def > than Foye and Bayless.

Ray Allen.

Hmm thanks for the input. I'll probably drop Foye or Bayless for Marion.

Keep an Eye on Favors/Utah situation. If any of those guys get traded or go down he will pick up

Yeah I just dropped him. Using all of my 4 player adds up during the week. Sick of his 0/1/2/1 statlines. I just picked up Tony Wroten for tonight. Probably a terrible move but he looks pretty decent.

Kidd's droppable now that the back news comes back, but let's not forget he was top-20 for a prolonged stretch of time.

It's like carrying a Bogut/Bynum, hoping they come back and produce. If it's between one of those guys and a Tony Wroten? Come on, man.

Haha I had to give him a try. Anyways I was able to drop him for Bogut yesterday morning. No worries.
