Evaluate my team...

Post#1 » by Maury2423 » Sun Oct 23, 2016 10:45 pm

Hey I just drafted in my 16 team keeper league, my keepers were KAT(3rd rd 33rd pick) and Porz(4th rd 50th pick). These are the stats in my league... fgm fg% ftm ft% 3ptm 3pt% pts oreb dreb ast stl blk ast:to My complete team is below....

PG. Harden(1st pick)
SG. Wade(65th pick)
G. Bazemore(96th pick, really liked this picked based on what was there. I was aiming for JJ but he was drafted 2 picks before)
SF. Harris(34th pick, I definitely reached here. I was hoping Melo would fall here but he was drafted right before. Thinking back I should have gone Ariza)
PF. KP(50th pick)
F. Dieng(64th pick)
C. KAT(33rd pick)
Util. DeAndre(32nd pick)
Util. Covington(105th pick, I think it was another slight reach here but I needed 3s and stls, and that's what he gives)
Tony Parker(113th pick, I was going JR here but again he was taken 3 picks before lol)
Crabbe(picked up FA, I have 4max move per week so I am using this slot to pick up and drop players according to what I may need that week)

Reggie Jackson(97th pick, I have him on the IL so I felt it was good value where I drafted him)

My personal opinion is that I have a great team, especially when Reggie comes back. I am stacked with bigs and feel like I have the orebs drebs blks basically locked up every week and I will win fgm fg% ftm pts ast stl the vast majority of the weeks and ast:to is a toss up on a weekly basis. I think I could improve on 3ptm 3pt% and I'm going into every week expecting to lose ft%.

What do you guys think of team and where do you think I can improve?

BTW I was looking into offering Wade and Dieng for Rondo and Ryno OR Wade and Dieng for Rubio and Fournier, to help improve on the 3ptm 3pt%.

I don't like the value on the first deal there for you. The second one is fine though, especially given your league settings.

That's a very nice team, and should win a lot of games for you. I don't know that are as locked up as you seem, to think, but that Rubio deal is pretty much exactly what the doctor ordered there.

I'd look to move Wade in general if I were you, even if the Rubio deal doesn't work out. His name value probably far exceeds his actual value at this point, and I'd trade him before something goes wrong (injury, suckage, ect)

Cool, thanks for your advice. I am looking to move Wade because of that exact reason, and I love in South Florida so most of my friends love Wade so they may bite on him. What do you think about a trade of Wade, Dieng, and Tobias Harris for Teague, JR and Gobert?

Well. Gobert is a nice get, although maybe not really a huge upgrade from Dieng (I have them both in the early 30's). You drop a bit in Stl, but gain huge Blk and FG%.

Teague should give you a nice uptick in Ast, which is something you should be looking for in a trade. Plus he has solid Stl numbers to help balance the loss of Dieng. And he doesn't shoot like crap form the floor, which is good for your build. He's an upgrade on Harris or Wade.

Smith is the worst guy in the deal, but he hits some key cats for you, 3's in particular, and could be very useful during the fantasy playoffs if LeBron sits some. Rumours of a Shumpert trade don't hurt his value any either.

On the whole I think I like it. You lose Wade and his oldness, Harris who duplicated a lot of cats, and grab an equally good big in Gobert and a solid PG. I'd do it.
