As a JBL GM, you are in charge of a storied basketball franchise, and have to draft, sign, trade and manage your players, staff and their personalities to construct your team.

JBL is a huge basketball universe that comprises the pro league, as well as high school, college and European leagues (think Football Manager for basketball). While similar to the NBA, JBL differs slightly in its modelling to other basketball simulations, and isn't intended on being a complete replica of the NBA, nor its rules. It is streamlined to focus on the things that matter - roster/player development, statistical analysis, personality management. As the league runs off a custom simulation engine (developed over many years) it is not bound by the same rules or limitations that other sim leagues may have, and allows me to add new features and keep innovating.

Features of the league:
* Games are simulated each day to a semi-realistic schedule
* Full advanced player stats and metrics, including shooting splits, clutch stats, lineup statistics, detailed boxscores, etc.
* Complete scouting module, including sending scouts to college
* Realistic salary cap management, free agency negotiations, drafting, signing coaches and staff
* A separate college universe that features all 351 Division I teams that feeds players into the pro league, which has all boxscores, stats, news etc available. All players are available to be scouted and drafted. European and other world leagues are opening to full scouting early next year.
* GMs use Slack to keep in touch, trade and discuss the league. Incredibly active channels with analysis and trades.
* League podcast with analysis, previews etc.
* One of our GMs is a merchandise creator, so we have full customised jerseys with players' names on the back etc.

Despite the in-depth nature of the league, it’s pretty easy to set a team and make changes (all web-based with no software to download), but even more satisfying and addictive when engaging fully. You'll be down the rabbit hole in no time, especially if you get into scouting.

There are a few teams still available (existing teams as well as expansion teams) so taking anyone who is interested. We're a few weeks away from the draft and free agency so there’s a great chance to build your team the way you want.

Looking for a few GMs for the Championship Sim League. We have just completed our 8th season and are in the midst of free agency 2021. We use DDS:PB3.

Currently have three openings:

Golden State Warriors: their star duo of Harden and Durant just came together this past season, and have accounted for more than half of all MVP awards in league history. They have an interesting supporting cast of young guys and vets, but with Durant injured and aging, this team needs someone to help bring it all together.

Toronto Raptors: a really well-balanced team that has been a perennial contender, but has just never gotten over the top into the Finals.

Charlotte Hornets: a team in flux, the Hornets have some good veterans and some tantalizing young prospects, and should be a team on the rise.

If you have any questions or want to apply, go to the link above or PM me here

Thanks very much. We're currently full but I can add you to the waiting list if you'd like? I expect some slots to open up. Looking for really active GMs.

I get it. You're wondering why the hell I should read a post by a guy with less than 5 total posts on the RealGM boards. He's probably a sleazy dirtbag eh?

Wrong. I used to be a member on the board many moons ago. Mostly as an observer who didn't post much, but I honestly can't even remember my username from then.

Regardless, I'm here with a new 2k Sim League with cash prizes at the end of the playoffs!

I'm not sure why there aren't many sim leagues that actually use NBA 2K, rather I see a lot of random programs and basketball generators. I used to be a part of one back in the day too, but I've had the sudden urge to kick off my own league.

I'm in the process of creating the forum to house this league, but I wanted to put out feelers first to see who/how many people would be interested.

The gist of the league is as follows:

First couple editions will use NBA 2K17 season mode
Will only be 1-off seasons, chance to re-enter at the end of every playoffs
Fantasy draft, serpentine format
Hoping to fill all 30 teams
28 games in a season
1/1/3/5 playoff format
$50 buy-in
Prizes: 60% of pot to winner, 15% of pot to runner up, remaining 25% will be dispersed based on bonus achievements
Bonus achievements: player of the month, mvp, 6th man, etc
Will simulate a week in the game every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
Will attempt to cpu-simulate 1-2 games per week live on twitch to allow for banter/discussion amongst team owners and myself
Owners will be able to trade, sign free agents, assign minutes, adjust lineups as the season progresses, and all other features you can normally control in a Season mode

After every simulation I will update all the necessary info in the forum with screenshots straight from the game. Info such as box scores, stats, league leaders, schedule, etc.

I will hammer out the finer details in terms of managing your team, settings, and all that with time.

First and foremost, I want to see how many people are interested.

I'm always open to suggestions and feedback, so please don't hesitate to hit me up.

Celtics are still available and are currently the top seed at the All-Star break

I'm interested. Would I need any software more than my phone? I probably browse basketball websites 2hours a day, 6 days a week (every free work moment)

We have two teams available:

Celtics: (http://www.ducksattack.com/DASL/rosters/roster1.htm)
Magic: (http://www.ducksattack.com/DASL/rosters/roster5.htm)

Both are currently in the playoff hunt and fairly young rosters. You can sign up using the quoted links above.

Both teams are still available. Magic went just went to the Finals and the Celtics were in the Conf. Finals.

Bullets: (http://www.ducksattack.com/DASL/rosters/roster7.htm)

Bullets are open as well and could use a rebuild.

Currently in late December 2021 and looking for a GM to help the star-studded Golden State Warriors realize their potential. Durant is finally healthy, and Harden is having yet another MVP caliber season, yet they are just 15-16 and just clinging to the 8th seed. You can be the one to right the ship and lead this team to a legitimate playoff run! Sign up here: http://www.championsimleague.com/viewforum.php?f=32

Celtics and Magic are still available. Also available now are the Timberwolves (http://www.ducksattack.com/DASL/rosters/roster19.htm)

Perfect for a rebuild with no real stars and a bare roster
