You have four first-rounders. If you're not in first place, quit life.

You're stuck with Felton and Evans, LDO.

What's on FA?

You could use some but -shrug- perfection is impossible. Your whole team is basically t80.

Pretty proud of the team i drafted in this league for money, which was an H2H Points Auction League with 8 teams. In it with some friends, pretty active league but one guy missed the draft and has been especially trying to rebuild with FA & trades. I got a couple great steals after saving money early on for the most part. Currently cruising at 9-1 (team has cooled down a LITTLE bit lately but still winning games) and it's pretty much my best fantasy basketball team in a while at least. I usually follow this same auction strategy where I'll take one or two guys near the very top of the list and then be really patient while buying a bunch of the mid-tier guys for great depth. It can be hit or miss but definitely a hit in this draft IMO.

Drafted:
Kobe Bryant for $44
Carmelo Anthony for $45
Rajon Rondo for $25
Brandon Jennings for $16
Chris Bosh for $10
David Lee for $18
Tony Parker for $12
Tyson Chandler for $6
Danilo Gallinari for $8
Tim Duncan for $5
Anthony Davis for $9
Anderson Varejao for $1
Kemba Walker for $1

My team is mainly the same as draft day except I ended up trading: Rondo & The Brow for CP3 while Rondo was on that red hot start. Then picked up Nene just before he got back from injury. So went from Rondo & Brow to CP3 & Nene. Did the trade instantly because of my depth and the fact I was upgrading from Rondo to CP3 as my top fantasy PG but still not too sure if that's a huge upgrade. I'm starting to think it is due to the consistency CP3 shows. Plus obviously he's elite and starting to show it fantasy-wise more as each week goes by (based on H2H points that is). Technically, though, Rondo & Davis still average a bit more fantasy points per game than CP3 & Nene do, but both are on a decline so it is what it is.
The waiver wire is pretty WEAK at this point despite it being only 8 teams.. so I've basically missed out on any other quality signings but that's fine by me; I've been completely content with keeping my team exactly how it is, barring any other possible trades. The people in this league like trading around a lot, most of which that have came my way I've declined.

So the one thing I'm considering:
should I look into trading Varejao or Nene mainly due to how injury prone they are (and Varejao being out 6-8 weeks right now)? Also, if I would trade either of them what do you think I could realistically get in return?

Injury-prone players don't trade well. No one's gonna want anything to do with Varejao. Nene's contributions are more subtle; as a result he's perennially undervalued.

Kind of what I was thinking so I may be stuck with both unless I take a hit, which I guess I won't mind aside from the injury concerns.

Forgot to mention, Granger is a free agent. I've always been a fan of Nene but would it be smart to just drop him now and go get Granger? I'm sure someone's going to jump on Granger very soon.

Since it seems like you're in first by at least a week or two, I'd drop Gallo. Granger will (should) replace his 3s.

4th seed, tied with 3rd seed in a 10-team, 9-cat, H2H league.

My team:
Damian Lillard
Kobe Bryant
Tony Allen
JR Smith
Jason Kidd
Kenneth Faried
Nene
Thaddeus Young
Carmelo Anthony
Derrick Williams
Tyson Chandler
Greg Monroe
JaVale McGee
Jarrett Jack
Jared Dudley
Jamaal Tinsley
John Henson
Kosta Koufos
Raymond Felton

Thoughts?

I also got a trade proposed to me: Iguodala, STAT, Kyrie for Kobe, Carmelo, Felton.

Worst trade proposal evar.

You guys have big rosters.

Start shopping Kobe. You don't necessarily need another PG, but at least come out even on the assists for whatever you get for him. I'd look for one top 20 player + another top 30 player. I think Kobe's a big regression candidate to fall back to even as low as t15.

That said, he's a huge name so don't settle for anything lower than a t20 + t30 player. Chances are you can get more than that.

Melo's also a regression candidate so I'd open to offers for him, but you have other areas that need addressing. He's bait if need be.

I suppose you gotta hold onto Monroe and hope his shooting regresses to the previous two years, but wouldn't be averse to moving him in the right deal. Really, the only players on your team I wouldn't move are Kidd (undervalued), Felton (duh), Dudley (undervalued). Everyone else is fair game.

You don't need any one particular thing; you have enough flexible parts to just be looking for value. Lillard's really hitting the wall, though; sell that fool off ASAP. Check playoff schedules; I don't play H2H leagues so I dunno off hand who has the best schedules.

Players I feel are potentially undervalued via trade:

Ricky Rubio
Batum (9th overall, but maybe someone only values him as a t15 guy)
Marc Gasol (ditto)
Iblaka (just going off the trades I've seen this very board consider; he's ranked 11th per game)
Al Jeff (14th, maybe you get him slightly cheaper -- even if you pay market value he's worth it)
Ryan Anderson (see Ibaka comment)
AK-47 (he needs to be treated like a t15 value as long as Love's out. Chances are he's only treated like a t25 or t30 guy)
Lowry (STILL 25th per game, just bottomed out with a terrible game last night. I still consider him an elite PG, make sure you inquire about him)
Sanders (elite big but not an elite name)
Metta World Peace (32nd)
Matt Barnes (39th)
Matthews (42nd)
Millsap
Nash (hasn't been great but I am still a believer; despite struggles ranks 36th in the past month)
Dragic (he's been a disappointment yet is still ranked 66th; I could buy a t30 second half coming his way)
J-Lin (see Dragic comment)
Dunleavy (don't look now but he's ranked 85th; if inserted into the starting lineup on offense-starved team, watch out)
Tyreke Evans (don't like him but his stock is so low, gotta check his price out)
J-Rich (I know, he's been absolutely terrible recently, but Collins loves his vets and one-trick ponies are more valuable than you think -- J-Rich was t50 the first month of the season)
Mo Williams (obv he's hurt but he should be back for playoffs, which is all that matters in H2H. Plus your league has deep ass rosters; would love to get him as a throw-in; he's t80 when he plays)
Pau Gasol (not a fan of him right now but who is? It's called buy low sell high for a reason)
Hibbert (it's called buy low sell high for a reason)
Gordon Hayward (I am gaga for Hayward; he's my ride or die ****)
Favors (Jazz are right at .500; why would they not trade Millsap or Jefferson?)
Nowitzki (it's really hard to gauge his value right now)
Pierce (perennially underrated)
Klay Thompson (might cost a fortune but can you believe he's t14 the past month?)
Gallo (regressing to the mean)

I could, but that would undermine all the work I put into making that list.

I bet that, based on that list, you could come up with something, and I'll give you my thoughts on it -shrugs-

Currently in first by 3.5 games in a 10 man H2H 9 cat league. I'm pretty balanced but usually lose TOs and either REBs or ASTs depending on the opponent. Here's my team:

Guards:
Parker
Conley
Jennings
Beal
Rose

Forwards/Centers
Durant
Batum
Randolph
Jason Thompson
Okafor
Millsap
Sanders

Waivers: Illyasova, Rubio, Davis, Leonard, Barnes, Granger, Felton, Favors

My league is pretty inactive, except for me and two other guys, and trades don't happen to much. What should I be looking to do to help bring the 'Ship home?

Who do you think I can offer for Jefferson that would appeal his owner?

Damn dude, stop being such a lazy ballboy. You can't even paste his team? I'm about to show you some tough love and ignore you until you can put two and two together.

I'd take Rubio over Beal and Granger over Thompson. I believe in Rubio, but be patient: it may take another month. You could use the assists, and while his FG% sucks, he (should) gets steals, boards and FT%.

I'd also grab Favors over Okafor.

And Barnes? Jesus your league is lazy. Hmm..

For now I'd grab Barnes over Favors. You got about 3-4 weeks 'til we see if Favors gets traded. Obv be all over him if rumors heat up or a deal goes down.

I like Ilyasova too, so wait and see.

You have too many redundant guards. Mayo, Crawford, Collison, Lou, Smith... they all do the same things. Shop them ASAP. What's on the wire? Your front court's good. Wouldn't mind packaging any of Parsons/Monroe/Smith/Randolph with the aforementioned guards looking for upgrades whenever and wherever.

My bad. This is his team:
Steve Nash
Monta Ellis
Thabo Sefolosha
Alonzo Gee
Kyle Lowry
Al Jefferson
Derrick Favors
Paul Millsap
Serge Ibaka
Ersan Ilyasova
Deandre Jordan
Spencer Hawes
Gordon Hayward
Ray Allen
Dirk Nowitzki
Derrick Rose
John Wall
Kawhi Leonard
Andrew Bynum

I don't know; maybe Tyson Chandler and Kenneth Faried for Al?

Illyasova comes off waivers tonight. So, you would wholesale drop Beal, Okafor, and Thompson for Illyasova, Barnes, and Rubio?

I do need to pick up more boards, and I don't know what to think about Favors or Davis for the rest of the season. Obviously a trade in Utah would help me with Favors, but Davis averaged 8 rpg before he got hurt too.

Keeper league, head to head:

Guards:

Rajon Rondo
Chris Paul
Kobe Bryant
Bradley Beal
Gerald Henderson
Vince Carter
Eric Bledsoe

Frontcourt:

Gordon Hayward
Jeff Green
Thaddeus Young
Kevin Garnett
Blake Griffin
Andray Blatche
Nene HIlario
Kosta Koufos
Tyson Chandler

Currently just about 30 games over .500 8-)

Could use a little help in blocks, but that's a throwaway stat, I can't see dropping anyone just for a guy who specifically gets 3 blocks a night. I like what I have now.. Thoughts?
