Post#1 » by rordog » Thu Jul 22, 2010 5:06 am

I have used ESPN for a year or two but i'm just wondering if there are any other good and free fantasy ball sites out there where you can join a public league. anyone got any suggestions?

Along with this... does anyone know a fantasy sports simulation type game? whether it's online or offline, please feel free to let me know I have been looking for one kind of like Football Manager... but for NBA.

Yahoo is still the best in the business.

Hoops.ws offers a different format and gameplay. Check it out if you are interested in a totally different format.

In terms of sim leagues, Fast Break Basketball is the most popular. It is a text based simulation. You can probably download it for free if you google around a bit. If you want to join in a sim league with other gm's, you can also check this thread:

I agree Yahoo is the best fantasy game site. Their articles are okay, sames with ESPN.

I found RealGM from checking out another forum at www.fantasybasketballcafe.com. That site's okay but doenst seem to be updated much.

There seems to be a few others but you just gotta search the net for them. www.kingsofhoop.com is a pretty cool one that I've been going to lately.

Hope this helps.

Yahoo is the best for leagues.

The forums at the cafe are stacked with knowledgeable managers, although the articles are few and far between.

KoH is relatively new from what I can tell but seem to be knowledgeable guys.

Also check out Buser Sports.

Fantasy leagues just started to form. So there is no rush. There will be plenty of leagues starting up in August and September. Check this thread from time to time:

If you are looking for a tru GM experience, check out Mock GM (TM) @ PASPN.net we are the only game out there now that uses real NBA salaries for trades and other forms of player movement.

This is a free unlocked league so you see everything and they have 7 spots open

When can you join public leagues at yahoo.com?? How close to the season does it open up again because right now it says that the season has ended and all that... just wondering because i've never used yahoo before but lots of fantasy players have recommended it. :)

anyone know of a site where you can host a 30 team league? ESPN doesn't allow it.
