Need Tip: Should I Do This Trade?

Post#1 » by BIRDMAN BIRDMAN » Sat Aug 28, 2010 11:02 am

Injury issues aside, IF all are HEALTHY, should I do this trade?

Yao Ming, Andray Blatche, Mike Bibby and Randy Foye

for

Tyreke Evans, Chris Kaman, Andrea Bargnani and James Posey.

Thanks, any feedback would be appreciated.

If you are receiving Tyfreke and Nani, Yes. Posey is less than useless.

Tyreke side, and people in your league will probably try to veto this it's so unfair.

Coming from a guy who traded Yao for Bynum straight up in a keeper league 2 years ago - it should tell you how I feel about Yao. While incredibly talented, he's just not reliable when it comes to injuries.

You get Tyreke/Bargs who should both be number one options on their teams, and Kaman who was an all star last year.

I think it's a slamdunk for you, even if Blatche has a big year and Yao returns for (Part of) the season.

yes defintley. kaman will put up same numbers, tyreke can only get better, bargs has a lotta stats to grab now that bosh is gone, and u can drop posey if u need help in another stat.

yao's notta sure thing, blatche will be ok but foye and bibby cant be any better than last season, which wasnt that good

if i was in that league i'd veto that trade

Production wise I like the Yao Ming side.

Yao will get you pts, rbs, blocks and a good FT% for a big man
Blatche is a good rebounder and shot blocker
Bibby is a 3pt machine, with decent FG% and solid FT%

Randy Foye is the obvious filler in the deal

For the Tyreke side

Tyreke gives you pts, asts, steals
Kaman gives you rbs, pts, occasional blocks
Bargs gives you 3's, decent FG% but bad rebounding for a centre but good FT% (all of these stats will go up IMO)
Posey is going to be buried in the bench with Ariza and Punjabi on the team now.

I stick with the Yao side. You take an equal risk in Yao's injury history with Kaman's injury history and Bibby will get a lot of open looks like he always does in the Hawks offense. Blatche will be much better this year esp with John Wall so look for a lot of clean up points for him which equate to a higher FG%.

I take the Yao Ming side.
