So I've done a few mock drafts and the second round is very crucial because the superstars are all taken now and the second round talent all have questions in their stats. Let's just say the list below is the first round...who would you take in the second round if you were the 12th pick? 13th? 14th and so on?

1. Durant 24.
2. Chris Paul 23.
3. Lebron James 22.
4. Dirk Nowitzki 21.
5. Kobe Bryant 20.
6. Dwayne Wade 19.
7. Steph Curry 18.
8. Danny Granger 17.
9. Dwight Howard 16.
10. Deron Williams 15.
11. Carmelo Anthony 14.
12. David Lee 13.

The 12th pick seems the most difficult...pairing David Lee with another big man like amare or gasol would do well on boards, fg%, scoring, but that team is losing out on assists, 3pt shooting, steals etc. However I dont think the gaurds are that great to begin with to be picked #13...Rondo? Kidd? Nash?

Value wise I think I would grab Amare at the 13th spot. I have seen him go in the 8-12 range in most of the drafts that I have participated in. So if you do pick Lee at 12, you can basically take over in fg%, rebounds and such. Then focus on assists later on in the draft with guys like Westbrook, Felton, Jennings and what not.

Josh Smith would be a good pickup around that spot. Especially if you need blocks next to a bigman like Lee, who doesn't get any. You would need to find blocks somewhere else, so if you have a big that doesn't get any. Might as well grab the one small forward who kills it in that category.

Hard to pass up on rondo too...Not to many players can carry your team in both steals and assists.

David Lee and Amare would be a great combo for Points, Rebs, FG % and you could have those categories on lock. David Lee will even net you a nice amount of assists for a PF/C and there are rumors he has been working on the 3 ball this summer. If he makes even one a game, he can be an asset at the 3pt line ala Troy Murphy, Dirk, Bargnani, etc and defenses would have to cover him at the 3pt line and he could then drive to the hoop. Amare is going to fill the void that was left behind with the departure of David Lee in New York. He is finally "The Man" and i believe that boost of confidence could have him in the running for the scoring title.

If you follow that path, you could always target a Darren Collison for assists, Danilo Gallinari for 3's, consider Dalembert, Haywood, maybe even Elton Brand for blocks, or you can wait and draft The Birdman in Denver or Turiaf for cheap blocks.

If you pick David Lee, and dont get Amare, i do suggest probably getting a pg and covering your bases, and adjust your strategies accordingly with all the picks that are made.
