discussion for HUGE LEAGUE owners. JJ Redick or Kyle Korver

Post#1 » by slimkaka » Sat Sep 18, 2010 3:56 am

when guys talk abt decent FA type 3pt shooters, it always come in mind with Redick or Korver....

How do you guys actually rate this two players ? in terms of 3pt made and minutes wise..

Korver moved to Chi-Town and his ability to shoot 3s will definitely give bulls another dimension of play and Redick seems to be lifting up the expectation when he first came to NBA.

Who would you rather have, Redick or Korver?

Am i missing something about Reddick? imo this is a no brainer. Bulls are in desperate need of 3pt shooting, and Korver is their only real 3pt shooter. I'd expect at least 1.5 3s. It'd be hard to get numbers like he did in Philly because he was a 30 mpg player there, but if the Deng and Rose cant make enough 3s, korver will have to shoot more.

Bulls fans say things like Deng is a good 3pt shooter but never shoots 3s, and Rose himself said he's working on his 3s. I wouldnt worry too much about that, it's not easy to become a 3pt threat in just one offseason.

Half of Magic's team is 3pt shooters, they dont depend on Reddick. Q-Rich might take 3s away from Reddick. Stay away from him, get Korver.

Korver all the way this season.

Just like everyone says, The Bulls lineup consists of Derrick rose, Deng, Noah, and Boozer. None of them can really hit threes. So it looks like Korver may play heavy minutes with that lineup and provide some huge 3-point numbers.

The last time Korver got starters minutes (over 30 a game) in Philly. He averaged 2.8, 2.2, and 1.8 threes per game. If he gets those type of numbers, he can give your team over 200 threes throughout the season. Whil redick although solid, has never really come close to those type of numbers. He also has a lot more competition to deal with.
