i have been doing a couple of Mocks already this season and find that often Howard falls to me outside the top 5 (had him at 13 in one mock). I really like going for the punting ast strategy and have been doing quite well with it. However, a couple of times I drafted Howard near the turn (10 to 14 teams) and when my 2nd round pick arrived, both Josh Smith and Rajon Rondo were still available. Of course there's no way any of the two will be available at the end of the third so you have to choose.
What would you go for? Get the BPA out of the two (imo) in Smith and really lock up the blk and (to a lesser extent) reb cats and as a result (probably) punt the ast cat along with FT or cover your ast and go for Rondo?
I have been going for both, with moderate succes, but what would you do?

go for rondo. dwight gets you massive blks, rbs, and fg%. you can lock up your blocks in the 3-6 rounds. not many players w/ 9+asts and high steals.

This!
Your already punting ft% if that's a category in your league. So you really have to play for assists instead of punting it. Smith just gives you what you already have.
