Luol Deng
Randy Foye
Brendan Haywood
Brook Lopez
Corey Maggette
Kevin Martin
O.J. Mayo
Tony Parker
Tayshaun Prince
Zach Randolph
Derrick Rose
Gerald Wallace

I was thinking:

Derrick Rose
Brook Lopez
Gerald Wallace
Zach Randolph
OJ Mayo

What do you guys think?

Can you trade before picking keepers?

Obvious keepers:
Brook Lopez
Gerald Wallace

The choice:
Derrick Rose
Zach Randolph
OJ Mayo
Kevin Martin

I'm pretty sure lot's will disagree but I would go the same route as you're thinking since KMart's injury history just scares me. If you expect him to stay healthy this year he should be better then Mayo, but keeping him would be a high risk/reward gamble.

But if you can trade this changes everything.

Nah I can't make any trades since it's a new season. I have to pick 5 players and then draft the remaining players to fill out the roster. I really should have tried to make some trades last season to get an all-star calibre player since I had a lot of depth compared to the other teams, but it's too late now.

Martin and Mayo aren't that far off in production. Mayo still has some upside and Martin was injured a lot last season so those were the factors I considered.

That may be true, but the FTs put martin over the top if you compare the 2. I do agree with the injury part though as I said before

martins stats have to go down with the return of yao, brooks development, and lee as a backup 2. how could you pick him over mayo? just cuz yao plays 24mpg doesnt mean it wont bring down martins shots.

I'm not saying I would pick Martin over Mayo... especially not in a keeper league, but I do think if Martin is healthy he will outproduce Mayo THIS year.
