Keeper help!

Post#1 » by played_out83 » Fri Oct 8, 2010 2:36 pm

Its our 4th year in the keeper league, and can keep 4 years worth of contracts. I can't figure out who my 4th keeper should be. Comes down to Beasley, T-Will, George Hill or Channing Frye. The numbers besides their names is the round I can keep them in.

Real GM - PLEASE HELP!

1.Chris Paul
2.Carmelo Anthony

3.Caron Butler
4.LaMarcus Aldridge
5.Michael Beasley
8. Marc Gasol
9. Channing Frye
10. Terrence Williams
12. George Hill
12.Mike Dunleavy
12. Zydrunas Ilgauskas

I personally like Terrence Williams out of that group of four.

Aldridge is actually a 3rd Round pick..(becomes a 4th because of Caron Butler) - who was drafted in the 1st round, but becomes my 3rd rd option.. who i dont want to keep
think thats early for him this year no?

T-Will looks solid; but isn't starting.. and if Mello goes there.. it's going to be brutal !

Ah ok, Beasley @5 is too early. I'm not a huge fan of TWill. I'd say Frye's 3pts in round 9 offer good value.

I think Terrence Williams is going to get starting minutes, even if he doesn't start, when the season starts, especially since he is lighting it up as the 6th man in preseason through the first two games and Troy Murphy just hurt his back and is out indefinitely.

Here are his numbers in first two preseason games (take them for what they are worth as preseason is preseason)

Game 1 - 23 minutes PT, 9/12 for 20 points, 4 boards, 8 assists, 1 block
Game 2 - 30 minutes PT, 7/16 for 17 points, 4 boards, 5 assists, 1 steal

Given that he is young and seems to have talent, I can't imagine he won't get at the very least 20-25 minutes a game.

Frye is good for 3s but I doubt his numbers are going to improve at all.

Is this a Roto league or a H2H?

I would consider Beasley, but when you compare Beasley in the 5th round and Williams in the 10th, it's pretty easy to answer. I would keep T-Will for sure...Aldridge isn't worth a 4th, Beasley isn't worth a 5th, and T-Will won't be much worse than Beasley but 5 rounds behind. He's versatile and still young enough to really reach his ceiling.
