Critique My Team! (and draft day trade)

12-Team 9-Cat H2H league

1. (12) Danny Granger SF,PF
2. (13) Brook Lopez C
3. (26) Chris Bosh PF,C
4. (47) Darren Collison PG
5. (50) O.J. Mayo SG
6. (71) Jrue Holiday PG
7. (74) Michael Beasley PF
8. (95) Jamal Crawford PG,SG
9. (98) J.J. Hickson PF,C
10. (119) George Hill PG,SG
11. (122) Wilson Chandler SF,PF
12. (143) Serge Ibaka C

Now... the move I made at the draft was the guy who got the 12th pick, I initially had 2nd pick.
He wanted to desperately move up so I offered him my #2 pick & my 2nd rd (#23) pick for his #12 & #13. We drafted for each other & the trade ended up:
LeBron James, Tyreke Evans
for
Danny Granger, Brook Lopez
I drafted like I had Granger & Lopez already & we made the deal right after the draft.
I've already been ridiculed within my league for this, but what do you guys think??? I personally valued Granger & Lopez over LeBron because come March/April, Indiana & NJ will probably be jockeying for playoff position while Miami will be coasting.

Rate my team & that trade, coz about 25% of me is still thinking about LeBron lol...

Bad trade IMO. Lebron is Lebron, I think people are overrating his drop in numbers. Danny, as much as I love him, is injury prone. I think also, a healthy Murphy takes boards from Lopez. Evans should only improve, and has no one on his team to threaten his performance at all, he's it for them.

Demarcus Cousins disagrees with you. Also there's the improving Jason Thompson & I think Donte Greene is poised for a breakout.

Murph won't be playing for a bit, Lopez will BEAST after last season's horrible record.

Thanks for your critique though! But you didn't say anything about the rest of the team's fit. Lebron is Lebron, but he won't be the same Lebron come (fantasy) playoff time when they'll be on minute count.

Also, I probably wouldn't even have taken Lebron with #2, I would've taken CP3. But since I agreed to trade the pick I drafted for the other guy.

You think Demarcus Cousins is going to take shots from Tyreke Evans?

Did you watch Lebron last night?

I do & I did. Cousins will demand the ball if he doesn't get it enough.
Lebron's performance was ONLY strong in points. FT% bad, TO's bad.

So a rookie who has no jump shot and no real offensive skills, who got by in one year of college by being physically dominent against college players, not grown men in the NBA, is going to DEMAND the ball fromthe reigning ROY and other experienced players like Landry and an emerging Jason Thompson? Good luck buddy, hope it works out for you. I drafted Cousins in one of my leagues basically on a whim. If Evan Turner is starting the year on the bench, Cousins will most definately be. Landry, Thompson, Dalembert are all bigs that will play in front of him.

Yes, but it showed that Lebron's game will not drop off like people though it would, how many more assists would he had have had if Miami was ice cold from the floor?

Don't like the trade at all actually. I wouldn't judge LeBron on one game either, he played a very tough defense and obviously needs time to gel with his new teammates, and still managed to get 31-4-3 with three 3-pointers, a steal, and two blocks. On just under 50% shooting from the floor. And thats a bad night...

Not only that but you really failed to capitlize on Brook and Danny's strengths once you got them. You needed another shot-blocker to compliment Lopez, instead you got Bosh who has averaged only one per game in his career (and absolutely no one else later...) You needed more 3-point shooters to dominate that category with Granger, but you only got Mayo and Crawford to help out. You should have punted assists since you didn't get a big name PG, instead you took Collison and Holiday with top 6 round picks.

I apologize for being blunt, and hopefully I'm wrong, but this doesn't look like a very good team to me.

The people in your league and the people here are correct. That was a horrible trade for you and i can't even begin to comprehend why you did it. As said before by other people here, Lebron is still lebron and his overall stats will be better than granger and him missing 20 games a year. Tyreke is only going to get better as well and be the first option on that team. Brook is going to keep around his 19-9 and percentages which is good but Lebron and Evans is better than Granger and Brook. And if carmelo gets to NJ, you are FUBAR
