Double trade?

Post#1 » by tamarslayer » Tue Nov 9, 2010 4:58 am

Team:
- S. Curry
- M. Ginobili
- T. Douglas
- R. Lewis
- T. Thomas
- A. Jefferson
- A. Blatche
- W. Chandler
- B. Udrih
- C. Delfino

I have 2 deals on the table right now:

1. Delfino + Udrih for Caron Butler + Troy Murphy
2. Tyrus Thomas for Al Harrington

FG% wise my team will generally be pretty bad since it has so many outside shooters and da only reliable big is Al Jeff. Just not sure if Murph will rebound and whethr the followup TT for Al Harrington trade wouldd be a good move if I do the first deal.

where will you be getting AST if you trade away Udrih... Curry isnt that good in dishing dimes and Manu will give you 5 ast daily but that isnt enough.

what idiot would give you butler AND murphy for just udrih. delfino sucks so he doesn't count. You take that and run.

It would be easy to swap butler or murphy for a PG like holiday or something. maybe jennings

Well... I wouldn't be getting assists from anywhere to be honest. Right now I'm a mediocre assist and rebounding team but I'm a much worse assist than rebounding squad.

So I'm contemplating just moving out of assists all together. In hindsight it wouldn't make my Curry pick that great but I'm past could've should've would've at this point in time.

Would love to do one of those follow-up trades but I doubt I could go through.

I guess my concern is this though... Caron Butler is going to be in a major shot attempt share when Beaubois gets back and Murphy... He might not be able to post more than what he did his first two years in Indiana given his back, the emergence of Derrick Favors, etc. and if that's the case then he might not even be a better fit for me than Delfino given that I'm resigned to my FG% sucking.

I'm leaning towards excepting the deal but it seems like I'm taking on an awful lot of risk.

---

Thanks for the feedback though... I'm leaning towards doing the trade.

Trade number one I would do in a second.

Trade number two I wouldn't do, as you won't have any shotblocking options with Tyrus gone. It's bad enough that you lose all your assists but blocks as well is way too much. Tyrus also has breakout potential this season, which Harrington does not.

Amazing, Delfino, Murphy, and Butler all go down at the same time ... The trade is still sitting there but I've cooled a bit on T-Murph.
