What to do with OJ Mayo?

Hey all,

New to fantasy, but consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable about the game in general. My team is doing pretty decently despite a few injuries, but I really am at a loss for what to do with Mayo.

I guess I was suckered into the hype, thinking this would be a break out year, but I just don't see him doing well on this Grizzlies team with Gay and Randolph.

I can't imagine I'd be able to get much in a trade, but I think dropping him would lack foresight and be a pretty dumb move. Anyone else in a similar situation that has some suggestions?

I have him in 3 leagues, my advice is bench him until he strings a few good games together, then offer him in a trade.

He's really only underperforming in FG% otherwise he's par for the course.

On the season he's connecting on 40% of his two-point field goal attempts (last year he connected on 48% of them, and the year before he was at something like 45%).

Gay's good performance doesn't have much to do with OJ not playing up to his standards either as Mayo's shot attempts are only down about 1.0.

OJ is struggling that's for sure but I wouldn't sell him short. Hold onto him.

Been a few weeks, anyone have any amazing revelations with regards to what to do with him?

I'm pretty close to just dropping him altogether, because I highly doubt anyone will take a trade that includes him.

Mayo's value is at an all time low. The players you'll get for him now, won't help you much more than Mayo himself.

It depends on the size of your league and who's available. If your in a shallow league and there are decent options on the wire, then he's honestly droppable at this point.

In standard leagues there's simplly no other solution than to bench him and hope for the best. He's far to talented to be dropped outright like that. If he's still doing this a month from now, then it's probably time to jump **** and count your losses.

I traded Mayo for JR Smith 2 weeks ago before he was released from Karl's doghouse. So far, JR has produced more decent games than bad ones.

Just dropped him. I'm sure he'll start dominating now that I did and someone else will grab him, which will be just my luck. If that doesn't happen and he continues to come off the bench, there are available players in my league like JR Smith and Nick Young that can fill the void.
