Getting AMARE for RONDO

Post#1 » by LGND2552 » Thu Dec 2, 2010 6:05 am

I'm getting Amar'e for Rondo, should I take it?
They have the same fg% and TO's, Stat shoots better FT has better rebounding, scoring, and blocking.
Rondo just gives me steals and assists while killing my FT

I would take it. Rondo is also on a team where anyone can go off on any given night. We've seen big games out of KG, Pierce, Ray Allen, Shaq, Glen, and even Nate Robinson.

One thing that will be a constant is that NY will put up a lot of points. It might not be winning basketball, but it's winning fantasy basketball.

Rondo almost leads the league Assists and steals, you can do better than Amare.

As far as im concerned, its about even. Amare may help in more stats, but rondo helps in stats one doesn't come by easily.

Pg's are a premium in fantasy basketball because of assists. and not many players are elite in them. Rondo can anchor a team in both which puts him ahead of most other pg's.

This comes down to the make up of the rest of your team

Here's my team, I think I have plenty of guards

Rondo
Eric Gordon
Chris Paul
Paul Pierce
David West
Wilson Chandler
Brook Lopez
Boozer
Humphries
Jrue Holiday
Rashard Lewis
Rodney Stuckey
Wesley Matthews

I've been losing in rebounds points and ft% almost every week

PG are super deep as of late.

Your top tier guys are

Westbrook, Paul, Deron, Rose and Rondo.

After that there is plenty of serviceable guys.

Examples are Raymond Felton (playing in ssol has really boosted his assist), Mike Conley, Darren Collision, Jrue, Tyreke, Steph Curry, Brandon Jennings, Stuckey and J.Kidd. Heck I am probably forgetting a guy or two.

PG has never been this deep ever! A guy like Felton + Conley can give you just about as much assist as Rondo, but the trade off is more 3's, better FT%, and probably more points since Rondo hasn't been scoring much. Conley has also been on a stealing spree this year. On the flip side they don't handicap you in any categories.
