Marc Gasol Trade

Post#1 » by bootydaddy73 » Thu Jan 13, 2011 11:57 pm

I am in a dynasty league and have been proposed Jonny Flynn and Greg Monroe for Marc Gasol.

I am coming second in my league, but both those guys have heaps of upside even if their production is sporadic.

What is your opinion?

I like Marc Gasol too much to give him up in a keeper/dynasty.

Thanks for the reply.

What kind of value do you think Flynn has in dynasty league now. I really think it is a good time to pick him up whilst his stock is low, but I dont know how much to give up for him.

How many players do you get to keep?

Greg Monroe appears to be getting more comfortable as his minutes are increasing. He put up 12/7 tonight, but he had four straight double-doubles before tonight's game. He also is good at stealing the ball. There is some solid value here with Greg Monroe in a keeper league.

Jonny Flynn to me is a gamble because he'll possibly be traded before the deadline or during the off-season.

I am in a dynasty league so we get to keep all of our players.

I want to pull the trigger on this, but I am not comfortable that Monroe can keep putting up these numbers. Gasol is consistent and has proven himself, but he has to share rebounds and points with Zach Randolph who doesnt like to pass the ball.

I really liked Flynn last year and think he has more of an upside than Monroe, but as you said his position on this team is seriously in question. Also I already have two good pg's in Chris Paul and Ty Lawson, so I may be overloading that one position.

I think I might turn this one down and wait and see how Monroe and Flynn go over the next month.
