Lockout and Fantasy BBall?

Post#1 » by dustfinger » Sat Jun 18, 2011 7:01 pm

So, I'm hoping there's no lockout...I've really enjoyed playing fantasy for the last 5 years. My question is, what happens when there's a lockout? Does Yahoo still run fantasy bball or does everything shut down. Was anyone here playing fantasy bball during the shortened 1999 season?

btw, thanks for any insights. I've perused these boards for the last few years, and finally thought I'd get in on the action.

I'd be so upset :( I love doing Yahoo! Fantasy Bball. I really hope they can figure out the CBA before the deadline.

I remember a previous lock-out when there were replacement players for the first few months. I wonder how that would work in fantasy...would we draft twice in a season, once with the replacements, the 2nd time with the real players?

My guess would be they would run fantasy basketball even if there is a shorter season

I agree with you.

I was thinking it might be fun to figure out how to draft no-name, stand-ins, while the real players are locked out. Now that would really show your fantasy acumen. 8-)

Fantasy Basketball? Really? Really?? Come on now, that's probably the most useless thing the NBA has going for it right now since it's probably not even generating the amount of $$$ Fantasy Football and Baseball make
